Character Customization Has anyone ever tried backporting SR4's upgraded player textures?

As we all know, the majority of the assets for our bosses/presidents came over from The Third and while the materials were certainly updated, some of the textures definitely did also receive the same treatment as well. So recently, with that in mind while I was working away on a character, the thought of backporting those textures sprung up about from thinking about the upgraded textures about not long after. "If there are mods that ports the new hairstyles and clothes —vehicles even too— from IV and GOOH to SR3, there should then be a mod or more than one that have attempted to bring over the upgraded textures, right?", so I've thought to myself just prior to spending about two days now trying to achieve that on my own with nothing to show for it, but wasted time so far and a wavering curiosity to go with it as time goes on.

So I ask, has anyone ever attempted to backport SR4's upgraded textures for our characters? Regardless of whether or not if it turns out I am the only one so far, I'll elaborate later on what is so far deemed to me as a failed attempt of well... just retexturing in general, all to just to see how the SR3 rendition of the boss looks with the newer textures above all, how potentially different my attempt may turn out to be yet from any other possible ones should I be able to resolve my issues, and to see if there's really any way to fix those issues as with the way things are right now, I am VERY stumped and have no idea how I could possibly fix them.

UPDATE:
In the meantime while I am working out my issues, here is a comparison between SR3's default male diffuse texture and SR4's:

And here is the same thing, but with the normal map for the 'ideal' body type:

As y'all can tell from looking at the gif's I've made, the biggest differences are that SR4 has baked shading on its diffuse texture and the normal map has its face redone and looking more defined than in SR3.

SR3 modding definitely seems harder, and most people that know how to do ASM shenanigans seem to not be around.
It might help to get the simple steps right first - seeing if you can even repack an ASM as-is (I can't, apparently. LOL)

I did try some ASM updating prior to making this post —and have explained more on it here just now— and without getting deep into it here, all I'll say is it is definitely looking to be harder, if not the absolute hardest of the Saints Row games to mod haha

On a related note, I've been scouring the SR Discords that I am in and I just found out that F13 has done this for the Super Ethical Patch — albeit just for Pierce, Gat, and Viola:

There was an attempt though to replace the t-shirt mesh with SR4's own t-shirt mesh, but nothing seems to have came out of it aside from this one screenshot:
