SRIV Steam patch 10/21/13

Do you have a large number of save files? Try renaming the remote folder and have the game go through and create a new autosave which should create a fresh remote folder and a new sr3save_00.sr3s_pc file. This 00 file is your autosave. Once that's done, go back to your renamed backed up remote folder and find the file with the latest date. Copy that file over to your fresh new remote folder, and rename the autosave with a .bak extension, and then give your actual save the same name as the autosave. i.e. sr3save_00.sr3s_pc. Run the game, load the autosave (the stats will look wrong on the loading screen but that's nothing to worry about,) then manually save the game. It should show the correct stats and you'll (hopefully) be back in business.

Save location:
..\Steam\userdata\[some numbers]\206420\remote\

my gamesave progress, but as I mentioned before whenever I attempt to save
my game without the mods, it crashes.

So d'ye reckon I'll have to delete my game saves & start a new game?

Id recomend backing your saves up before you delete them

I would if I could, but I only have 3 regular saves & no autosave. But what should I rename the folder to?
never mind, Ill rename the folder as saves & then follow the rest of the instructions. Thanks.

Actually, here's an idea. See if it makes a .mdump file in the SR4 directory when it crashes. If so, post that along with the other required details in the Patch Suggestions and Bug Reports forum. Maybe Knobby can tell us at what point it's crashing, and maybe why.

The mods I'm currently using are GPZ's gang customiation 2.0 mod, along with the weapon skins for the heavy pistol from the "Weapon Retxture WIP",
I also tweaked GPZ's mod to include Murderbot homies & added the spawn_info_ranks.xbtl file to make it work. I even used "Minigun Madness V5" by 50%Joe,
plus IdolNinja's cheats, easy activities mod, No Maurauders mod, Infinite powers, Super Jump/Super Sprint upgrades+, Iron Saint retexture mod, Porn & Murder
nude mod, disable anti-super power grenade, additional vehicles for Saints gang...and ThomasJepp's tools to integrate the weapon textures.

And now, after several attempts without mods...I'm beginning to think this update is the cause. Coz now, I can't save with my current saves
...well, I'll try @IdolNinja's suggestion, and if that don't work, I'll delete my saves & start fresh. Besides...I already have ALL of the achievements
except the Co-op ones, the DLC are the least of my worries.
