Getting unstable FPS on RX 580 8 GB and Ryzen 5 2600. FPS is going between 30 - 60 fps. Any settings recommendations?
On the top of my head, settings that help the most (ascending) is turning off dynamic shadows; pressing F1 to turn on Ugly Mode (but it gets really dark); and installing DXVK (most older graphics card support up to 2.6.2 release) - a short tldr to installing it is extracting with 7-zip, go to x32 folder and extract d3d9.dll to the game's folder with .exe

Please help me. First of all, this is a clean install. No mods, no nothing. I used Steam first, Juiced 8.0.2, then it crashes. Then I added DXVK to it. Still crashes. THEN I BOUGHT THE DAMN GAME ON GOG. Guess what?

IT STILL CRASHES!

The error I encountered varied each time:
  • Unhandled exception at 0x4AED9AB0 in sr2_pc.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x4AED9AB0
  • Unhandled exception at 0x5C871646 in xactengine3_2.dll (+0x31646): 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x582D15F0

Seriously, what do I do? Should I used Juiced before patch 8 or what? Is there a stable version yall use when you guys were praising it? And this is my pc.

I just wanna play this game. Help me someone. Please.

Disable "UseFixedXAudio" in juiced.ini

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why I'm having the issues I'm having.
1. The Borderless option does not work for me. In settings I have Fullscreen - Yes or No. I do not have a "Windowed" mode available. Selecting Fullscreen - No and using the Borderless - Yes option does nothing and the game remains windowed.

2. Cutscenes still have crazy shadows, sometimes characters are in near darkness despite standing in a bright room. I am using the Cutscene Patch mod and have ran the patcher as well as enabled it in the loose.txt file.

I'd appreciate any help that can be given, thanks.

I've been enjoying playing SR2 w/ Juiced Patch so far! I've got some questions and wonder if anyone else is having these issues, or knows a solution. For reference, I'm currently using the Steam version w/ Juiced Patch 8.0.3 and Juiced Patch 8.0.3 only, no SuperUI or GOTR.

1) Is it possible to reduce the sensitivity when using Fine Aim? For some reason, Fine Aim has extremely sensitive camera movement that is very awkward. It's as if there's a separate mouse sensitivity for Fine Aim and it's too high.

2) Is it possible for the first-person option in Juiced Patch .ini to have a variant where it only goes into FPS Mode when using Fine Aim? The default almost-centered camera is fine in SR2, it's just the Fine Aim camera that should be in FPS Mode.

3) Is anyone else noticing that the gang spawn rate seems to be way too low, making it impossible to get more than 2 stars of Gang Notoriety? The cops will consistently spawn in to chase me at 2-3 stars of Police Notoriety, but Gangs will only send a single vehicle after me maybe once a minute. I've never been able to get 3 or more Gang Notoriety stars outside of missions. And that's a shame, since I don't get Respect for killing Cops like I do killing Gangs.

4) Is there a fix for the constant blatantly obvious despawning? I've had scenarios where a red dot appears behind me on the minimap, only for it to disappear once I turn around. It seems the game has a really short "despawn anything outside this radius" range that's barely 25 meters.

With the exception of (2), I think all of these are probably things that would have happened in a vanilla SR2 install. I do not mean to imply that Juiced Patch is causing them. It's more likely that those are lingering issues from the vanilla game's PC port that haven't been squashed out yet.

EDIT: I'm starting to think it was RTSS all along that causes issue #3, because temporarily disabling it seems to have cut down on how sparse gang spawns are. I was using it to cap SR2 to 60 FPS.
