All New Character Customization

Errmahgerd I finally got it to work. I had read the readme before and didn't find it very helpful, but I didn't realize that all the information I needed was in the FAQ. It says there that you shouldn't use a customize_player.asm_pc file with this mod, so I removed that and now it works. Finally.

I TOLD YOU A BILLION PAGES AGO NOT TO INCLUDE THAT FILE OH MY GOD I SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED THAT IN MY ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU EVEN POSTED
**NOTE**
If you use Porno and Murder DO NOT move the customize_player.asm_pc into the mod folder, EXCLUDE IT COMPLETELY. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS THE GAME WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. Ignore customize_player.asm_pc and just make sure to put the other files from that mod folder into the your characters mods here folder.

Ah well, pages of pointless troubleshooting I suppose I'll upload some screenshots of this excellent mod.

Oh my god, I got it all figured out.

I use a few mods besides Jedi's, I'll list them right now.
  • NPC Behavior
  • Permanent Temporary Weapons
  • Sandbox Plus
  • Super Cat and Mouse
  • GOS (of course I do, if you don't you're insane)
The process for these specifically is incredibly simple, all you have to do is make sure the two VPP_PC files from the sandbox mod are put into your pc packfiles folder (Make sure to backup originals) and go ahead and make sure you put the items VPP_PC file from the weapons mod in there as well. Once that's done all you have to do is put all the mod files (excluding any aforementioned VPP_PC files already put in packfiles as well as any extra folders or readme files) into the Your_Character_Mods_Here folder. Once you've done this and made sure to generate a GOS patch move the two GOS patch files to the Your_Patch_Here folder.

Once thats all complete you just have to generate the customizer via the .bat file and it will automatically include your mods in the patch file, no need for a messy root folder.

Oh my gosh, <3 this!

Please help me! I absolutely love this mod, I hadn't played SR3 in a while and yesterday I decided I wanted to play this again.
This mod was still working untill I messed it up with other mods so I had to reinstall.
Now I have the infinite loading screen and I tried everything by now, updating the ASM files, trying the mod that uses the 1 file, trying the one using the 2 files, even trying them combined!
Please, I have no idea what to do next and playing the game without your mod wouldn't be that much fun.

Delete all the other mods (so, delete everything in your SR3 folder except the 500MB+ files) and then validate the game files. Once thats done only install this mod and see if it works. If it does you need to gradually test by adding each other mod in until you find the culprit.

Wow, thanks for the fast reply!
I reinstalled the game last night and deleted my other mods. Without any mods the game works fine, the problem starts at the moment I replace the files of the JediDave mod with the original ones. Updating the ASM files in the main folder didn't seem to make a diffirence..
It's very weird, because I can't remember having any problems with installing this mod last time!
Thanks for the help!

Now, with that said and done if you have any other mods aside from the ones I listed the process should be generally the same. I've spent hours trying to figure this damn thing out and finally it all clicked so I'mma call it quits and see if I can't actually enjoy this game tomorrow with these glorious mods, hopefully this little guide helps someone.

PS--Thanks Dave for the awesome mod/program.

Hello, sorry I haven’t been around much since the new update as my work has kept me really busy. I've seen some comments recently mostly about getting the mod to work, but thanks to 7ex they have been answered in a timely manner. I have been wondering what people think of the new textures and also if there are any suggestions or ideas for what can be done next. I have a laundry list of projects that I will work down but it would be fun to find out what others would like so I could take inspiration from this.

When selecting all anime eyes and pressing M, it brings you back to the first menu, the one before the selection menus.

Again sorry that I didn't reply to your comment because of the work thing, I've put this at the top of my list of things to do for the next release. As you would know being a mod maker yourself when your testing these out some things slip the net. I must've started the game several thousand times in making mine, all down to fault finding.
