To fix my issue, I had to run the Verify Files from Steam, where it found five bad files. Then I had to let Steal re-install, then I had to re-install TTDIS Family and Naughty (the only two mods I run).
I installed everything except the Readme and the Images files. Was there anything else I needed to do? I unzipped, copied and pasted everything to the main SRTT directory, as instructed. Thanks.
Actually it's not, if it gets more people interested in the franchise. Just seems that they missed the mark in which one to select, though the thought that they had no access to the code of 1 or 2 makes perfect sense.
I had the same problem that others have expressed. I installed TTDIS (family and Naughty) and I could get the game running fine, but if I added this mod, I got the infinite load sequence with no music. So, in review, the secret is to remove/delete whatever .asm file is in place, then run this...
I'll keep it on my hard drive, for sure. I still have to raise $1M so I can buy the Ultor Building.
For some reason I never ran out of respect. I did all the car thefts, might be part of why. Also, I made sure to get a good outfit with lots of Style.
One thing I discovered near the end is...
...and I have to say it ROCKED! I was sorry to see it end. Granted, I can always go back and do the things I never finished, like the racing and whatnot, but I've moved on to SR3 so the likelyhood of going back is slight.
....but I might!
I read that you were only supposed to lose $500 but I was doing car theft missions like mad and died once, all money gone. I had noticed earlier that every time I exited the hospital I had a $0 balance, as well. Is this some kind of Hardcore setting in Sandbox, perhaps?
I'm getting that , as well. I think it has to do with the fact that the Syndicate has openly declared war against the Saints. I hear them saying stuff against the Saints as they attack.
I installed Gentlemen of Steelport Family and Naughty and after the intro when I should be able to create a character, none of the options will open. If I skip it, the scene in the jail cell plays with no player character. Also, I never saw an options screen for selecting options within...
However, I might use that clock stop to complete this mission. I start it, it's broad daylight, and suddenly it's pitch dark and I am scrambling around trying to destroy boats.
I don't mind it being night. At first I liked the darker night, but when I tried that mission where I am getting shot at by a zillion Sons who I cannot see yet see me plainly, I started getting frustrated.
Thanks for the suggestions!
I read that there is an optional mod in the setup of Gentlemen of the Row that removes the additional darkness introduced by the mod. I need this because the enemies can see me like they are cats and I can't see them at all. Would someone tell me which line in the patch setup to activate 9or...
