saintsrow.com My Steelport character download tool

coolfoxs suggestion worked for me. Yeah they were some other peoples characters that I wanted to save from a while back.

Also, is there any ETA on when these files will be usable?

It's easy to use:
  1. Go to saintsrow.com, and add all of your own characters to your queue.
  2. Make sure you're signed into Steam, and that you don't have a game running.
  3. Run 'run-me.cmd'.
  4. Copy the ZIP files that the tool creates somewhere safe. It creates one ZIP file for SR3 characters, and one for SR4.
If you have more characters than will fit in your queue, you can just repeat this process until you've done them all.

Worked fine for me.
Am I right in assuming that we will have a local save and load character gallery after "My Steelport" shuts down?
 
For anyone who has Saints Row 4 Characters but doesn't own 3, you can remove/comment out the following lines in run-me.cmd to get around the error. Seems to work just fine.

echo 55230 > steam_appid.txt

echo Scraping SR3 profile and characters...

SaintsRowCharacterScraper.exe

IF ERRORLEVEL 1 GOTO failed
 
I have a problem. This thing only gave me my Saints Row 3 characters, not my Saints Row 4 ones.

I even did this and it still only gave me my Saints Row 3 characters. Yes my Saints Row 4 characters are all mine and not someone else's.
 
Thanks for this Minimaul! I only just found out today that My Steelport was shutting down. The tool still worked with the characters I had in my queue, even though it shut down on the 31st.
 
While I'm super late, I did just use the program and I was able to pull at least the last character I had in queue many years back that has mostly been my main.

My question though is... with this profile.bin with the image of my character here... how exactly would one use this to use the character in game?
