I've been enamored with this game ever since it was called "Hero" in development at Midway (before they collapsed). If you ever played Psi-Ops on the Xbox or PS2, it's basically a spiritual successor to that game, as many of Awakened's devs worked on Psi-Ops as well. It's an open-world sandbox with the ability to fully customize your character's appearance, as well as super-powered abilities. In theory you can do anything from make a Spider-Man with a machinegun or Marcus Fenix with telekinetic powers.
The developers finally made a Kickstarter for the game, which I've been hoping for since Kickstarter became a thing. The best part is that it's now PC based, while a few years ago it was for consoles. Even one of the stretch goals is dedicated mod support, which I'm sure would interest some of you.
