I added the brute anim_pc files from SR:TT and it didn't crash.

Did you remember to set them to preload in anim_files.xtbl? The biggest obstacle to bringing back brute anims in my NPC mod is the current size limit for preload_anim.vpp_pc. I seem to have reached it by adding in a bunch of SR3 and zombie animations. Once Volition increases the memory limits then it shouldn't be a problem.
