are you extracting from the original music1.vpp_pc? According to my game the original file is around 76.4 mb (the full vpp_pc file not the individual xwb files)
Yes I am extracting from directly from the original files but I think I overwrite them so much that I don't have the original sound no more what does that mean do I have to reinstall the game or is there a possibility you can send me or link me to the original file again
Are you trying to extract directly from the copy of muaic1.vpp_pc that is in the Saints Row folder?
That's not a good idea. Copy the music1 file into a seperate directory with all of the files in the Xactextract directory.
then click on the extract - safe.bat. Unless there is an error in one of the files that should extract everything.
Okay so this is what I'm going to do it seems like the individual file the original file with all the modifications that I did and everything it came up around like 3 to 4 gigs so what I'm going to do is I'm going to reinstall Saints Row 2 and then I'm going to do it individually pertaining to each track and how many songs are on there.
So for Khryme there 15 I just replace it with 15 tracks simple and so for and so on I let you know after how it turns out
Okay I understand one more question when I replace the fouls individually within the radio station but those files also be available to purchase from the store itself in the game, also do I need to edit the individual music files for the same length as the music in the game cuz sometimes the music cut off earlier than is supposed to or it's okay it will play out the whole song
You need to open up music.xtbl (located in Common.vpp_pc. find the songs that you have changed and change the times in that file to the times for the new music. Use The Minute Period Seconds format or it will break your game music.
Only change the times not the titles. Also make the time in the file one second longer than the song (if the song is 2:58 make the time 2:59) this will ensure that the song finished playing before it cuts off
The music that you add will replace the music in the music store. There is a section in my tutorial (Part 9, I think) that will help you change the song titles in the music store to the new songs.
Okay so one more thing I reinstalled seats Row 2 so now I have music 1.vpp_pc I am extracting this with ThomasJepp Saints Row extract pack file gui correct
That's correct, but might I make a suggestion? Make copies of Music1 - Music4.vpp_pc, Radio,xtbl and Music.xtbl
(the Radio and Music xtbls are in Common.vpp_pc) That way if something goes wrong you can just restore not have to reinstall.
