Installing GotR using Juiced v7.1.0 or later (for beginners)

hey @-SeaboundSaint- , because of today's news that GoTR won't be compatible to DLCs PC port, can you direct me which files from GoTR/CGoTR that in charge of Ezzzy 105.0 and GenX 89.0 radio stations restoration, so I can install via Juiced? it is the only thing from GoTR that I cannot compromise (I will stop using GoTR soon because I prefer having DLCs to having GoTR but can't play it). Thank you in advance.
GotR's music.xtbl only changes the music for the Main Menu (SYS_FE_MUSIC) and the Pause Menu (MUS_PAUSE_MENU). You should be able to just install that music.xtbl when the DLC comes around, but there are a few extra songs added for the Main Menu. So if they're really that tight on memory, who knows?

If you wanted to customise the songs for those menus yourself, I'd recommend copying the whole <Music_Set> element, instead of just renaming the .wav.

radio.xtbl references music.xtbl, and is the file which actually contains the radio stations. GotR's version just adds "KEEPIN' IT EZZZY" and flags Underground as a pirate radio station. I made this mod by following Miscreant's guide in the previous post.

Where do I put the patch files from gotr or cgotr to make them work?
If you're following this guide, you don't need to build a "patch.vpp_pc", or even touch "Create_Custom_GotR_v1.9.2.bat" at all. Instead, you manually copy GotR's files into the Juiced "Mods" folder. The instructions in this guide show you how to do that.

If you're doing it the traditional way, copy the contents of "MY_CUSTOM_PATCH" into your Saints Row 2 root folder (where sr2_PC.exe is located).
Before doing this, I'd recommend making a backup of the Vanilla files you're replacing.

I really need help and I'm sorry if this sounds like the most easiest thing ever. I've done a lot of reading and probably three completely fresh attempts. I've gotten all the steps setup and here comes the hiccup. I want to use the "Saints Row 2 Remaster 2.0 Ultra Realistic Graphic Overhaul", which requires "Saints Row 1.5 Lighting". I go to the mod's page and it requires GotR, but what I infer from here is that you just download a GotR dependent mod and put it into the "Optional" folder we make via the guide here. Which is where it gets confusing. 1.5 Lighting doesn't have that it just has a bunch of files. I'm not really sure where to go from here.

No worries, thanks for describing your process.
Saints Row 1.5 Lighting was made before Juiced Patch existed, and GOTR's patch builder was the only way to install mods (hence why the SR1.5 folder is named "Files for GOTR Patcher".

method #1: Sticking with the guide and putting it in the Optionals folder (though this will make it harder to serparate the mod's files later - see method #2)
Referring to step 3: The "Optional" folder should be within your SR2/mods/GotR folder, not within the mod you downloaded.
Note: I did a typo and called my folder Optionals instead, but as long your loose.txt has the folder directory correct this isn't an issue. (see Step 4)

Paste the contents of "Files for GOTR patcher" ("a bunch of files" that you mentioned) in that folder:

method #2: Adding the mod's files above GOTR in loose.txt
In your SR2/mods folder create a new folder for the mod, name it something like "SR1.5 Lighting" then paste the contents of the mod's folder (for GOTR patch builder) in here.
Then in loose.txt, above mods/GotR, add the line mods/SR1.5 Lighting

Note 2: I don't use "Saints Row 2 Remaster 2.0 Ultra Realistic Graphic Overhaul" personally, I think Saints Row 1.5 Lighting is great enough as-is even without the HelixMod d3d9.dll. Thus there's probably something I'm missing in this post

Use Method 2 from reina's post. This guide is just for GotR itself. Everything else can (and should) be installed in it's own separate folder, and given higher priority than GotR.
