Holy shit it's not even free to play game. They sure are royally screwing over their fanbase, they must have really greedy fuck in charge of their company.
It would have been very hard for them to ride through the shitstorm this created without making Valve and Bethesda look like a very greedy company. Backing off from this "for now" was the best solution. I just hope that Bethesda didn't get any ideas from this experiment.
The reason why this "New way to support Workshop creators" happened is not because Valve and Bethesda want to support creative modders it happened because with this system they get money from dlc they don't even need to make.
I was just about to say that. Without any kind of quality control it's definately going to happen and there will be modders that abandon mods that are broken or don't finish them in the first place and still ask money for it.
So. Valve finds a way to get paid without doing anything. I know for past few years Valve has only cared about money but i didn't expect that they have the nerve to start this kind of shit. They saw how much money they could suck from the thousands of mods that are downloaded for skyrim everyday.
Saints row 4 is fun game and the people who worked on it did great job with what they were given with resources and time. But my problem is with both SR3 and SR4 they completely abandoned their original style. There is so little content and so few missions compared to SR2. GOOH was good for one...
I do have fun when i play SR3 and SR4 for what they are but i love SR2 and you can notice how much more effort was put into SR2 compared to later games just looking at the city Stilwater was interesting had many different npc's and it is most lifelike city i have seen in games. With steelport...
Good to hear it runs well since i have 7970 ghz on my pc. I haven't bought gta5 yet, i was expecting Rockstar to fuck up the pc version again but it's nice to have pleasant surprise for once.
It's a shame this wasn't finished since the vanilla textures are absolutely terrible, but even how it is now it replaces the most visible textures and makes SR3 and SR4 look much better.
Looks amazing, i'm using the no dof version it hits my performance, my fps went from 60 to 30-40 range so i just locked it to 30 fps but it's really worth it :)
