After hearing a little bit more information about the transfer. This is actually good for Volition, they now have access to a larger team and bigger budget (on top of gearbox's marketing techniques) I think this will definitely be the start of a "brighter future and a better life" for Volition...

I'm a moderator in the official server and the develops themselves have said the publisher transfer will not change the status of the patch and things will continue as normal.
