Yeah and with SRTT and SR4 we've had 2 games with armpit cities. I'd rather get something varied and interesting like SR2 Stilwater.
I don't really consider Steelport to be an armpit city tbh. A city with a seedy reputation? Ya, but not a shithole like Stilwater in SR, which is a big reason I enjoyed Stilwater in SR the most. It felt like a city that was rotten to the core and was just a shitty place.
Not that I hate Sr2 Stilwater, but maybe it's the nostalgia kicking in.

Well aside from my opinions on it's design which I feel is vastly inferior to Stilwater (and SR4 managed to make it several times worse), lorewise Steelport is a dying city, the economic slump has ruined it's steel and manufacturing businesses. That's why you see all those derelict cargo ships and ruined trains.
Also at least Stilwater's overhead train system worked.
See, things like that I admit I did not notice because I simply don't care for Steelport, thanks for pointing that out though.
I wouldn't mind seeing stillwater return, through a mod or DLC, don't get me wrong, but I just don't think it will happen. Even with the new tools. Just because a small section of a city exists, doesn't mean they can just rebuild the whole city. You need new textures or else it would just feel like Steelport with a different layout, you need to program the AI to use the roads correctly, you need to create a whole new city with collission buildings or however you call it where you can land on every rooftop.. Not just something you can do with Kinzie's toolbox, me thinks. It's not like Simcity or something. And then you'd have to create the buildings you can enter and design the whole interior.
What they could do is reskin Steelport. Make the buildings different, make the streets cleaner, I dunno. Make it look like a real shithole, or the most modern looking city ever. That would probably be possible as the city itself already exists.

Primary on the Wishlist; I REALLY want to free roam the Zin Mothership. Second, I want a way to find a planet for the human race. Keeping the conversation Kieth David and Peirce have about the issues finding a planet to support human life that isn't already populated, I'm thinking terraforming (I may be a Sci-Fi nut case 
) but, at this point I think that will never appear in a Volition game. So, MAINLY Mothership Freeroam and a way to save the other Homies, yes, even Josh Burke, he was my little hetare after all (Japanese word for a "lovable idiot")
