Official modding tools for SR2?

I've mentioned this a few times, but the SR2 tools are coming later after the SRTT sdk is done. It's simply a lower priority for everyone at the moment, but not forgotten. Also, the name of the SR2 SDK is going to be Shaundi's Secret Stash.

What's with the perverse naming anyway?

The only possible reply that makes any sense is:
Saints Row, bitches!

Also, this particular name is referencing drugs and not sex. It's STASH, not SNATCH.

We've already had one new tool for SR2 and there are more being tested :)

The hard part with SR2 is that Volition didn't do the port and can't find the PC port's source code. They think they have it but can't be sure.

The PC port has some bizarre alterations to some of the data file formats (the le_strings files were a great example) and without the source we're kinda working blind so it'll take a bit more work than SRTT.

It's being worked on though, so watch this space!

Can't Volition contact CD Projekt, the guys who made the PC port? Or they did and apparently they don't have it either?

EDIT: Kinda-off-topic; Gotta tell you guys, "Peg" is funny, because if you think of, or know what "Pegging" is, you know what I mean.

As far as I know, the part of CD Projekt that did the port no longer exists.

As for "peg" etc, I'm told it's peg for "pegleg" - a while back they were naming things using a pirate theme.
Edit: I was also told that it started as "keg" and they changed it to "peg" because of the drinking implications, so take your pick :)

Well what would they have done with the source code? It's probably still on their company server or something, right?
