Where do I access DLC?

I have just started the game, I have Commander in Chief edition, typed the code in Steam, yet I don't see any safehouse that would me provide with any DLC thing. How do I get DLC items in-game?

welllll you have to wait til after mission 6 (ie open your first gateway to the real world) to get them. ;)
 
All DLC unlocks after completing The Real World/The Escape mission. It's like mission 6 or so.
 
Alright, thanks. Do I get the access to a helipad as well (y/n, I don't wanna further spoilers)?

well... gateways act like your safehouses. clothing, garage, weapons, and heliport all in one white magic door. so yes. yes you can. :)
