UPDATED (2023) Installing Texture mods with Special K + Creating them

Hey, so it's been a while since I've been on this site and it seems that Special K may have changed enough to make the written tutorial and video outdated. Special K is a program that continually sees updates, so these steps being outdated was always possible.

The only suggestion I can think of right now it you are exclusively concerned about SRTT Remastered, is to grab a version from around the time I made the video (Sep 2023) and try the steps with that. (Although I'm adding a disclaimer to say take that solution with a grain of salt because theres a reason why programs of this nature see updates, for all I know new driver stuff or OS versions could make it unusable)

I don't have much time to dedicate to stuff like this nowadays, especially since this didn't come from me having technical knowledge or familiarity with the program, just trial and error, but I'll check back when I can to retest the process, rewrite the doc and possibly even make a new video.

As for the issue of the screen being washed out, ( @Vulture @ThomasDe_33 )

It looks like that's related to the settings that have to be changed in the menu

Take a look at these two photos, one from my written tutorial and the other a newer post I saw in the discord server
Let me know if you are able to solve it with these or another way.

here

(+ I also saw suggestions saying to turn off HDR)

I followed the solution shown in the picture in your imgur link (change sRGB to "strip") and it worked. the game's colours are now back to normal. thank you very much
