Trouble with sr3_city.lua

Everytime I make a little change in sr3_city.lua the game crashes upon loading a savegame.I even tried adding some basic stuff inside sr3_city_main function such as notoriety_set and it still crashes...I've never had any problems with the sr_city.lua files in the previous games and I wonder what is wrong with the SRIV one. This file is one of the most useful files for modding any Saints Row games so any help will be appreciated.

EDIT:The odd thing is that the file is called sr3_city.lua although the game is SRIV.

I'm able to add code and have it execute just fine. Are you sure that you have the syntax right? It's quite possible that certain functions have changed since the last game.

Well I got it working using turn_invulnerable but most of the functions such as notoriety_set and other lua scripting techniques I used in SR:TT are crashing the game now. It's either that SRIV has a new unique lua scripting style or most of the functions from the earlier SR games have been converted to new ones which I don't have any idea on how to use them properly.Any idea when will Minimaul's lua references for SRIV come out?

Well the game is a sequel, and while the city has had some significant changes from 3 to 4 internally we did just pick up where SR3 left off. It's named based on a convention for the game to be able to find certain files and the level that the game uses is still called sr3_city because no one ever bothered to make a copy of the city and rename it.

Thanks for clearing my bewilderment up that's a pretty informative post...I'm going to get this a little off-topic:I don't want to sound irritable and tedious but I'm wondering when will you Volition devs (or if you are going to) release the official description and parameters for lua functions from SRIV ?
