Ok, now stay with me on this, because I've got a lot of context to add.
With a Saints Movie in production about the events in Stilwater, Pierce uses his Saints Flow Ads to promote the movie, by fighting off the three Stilwater Gangs.
Shaundi feels overworked and stressed out from running Ultor, and her own Reality TV Show. So she decides to join the Boss on their latest publicity stunt/criminal venture, but gets high while on the job, and suddenly remembers how much she hates pants... This of course doesn't last long when Josh Birk starts hitting on her.
After Donnie leaves the Brotherhood, Lin reaches out to him and tells him all about what really happened after she was left to drown at the bottom of the canal. Donnie and Lin then both decide to go to the bank and withdraw their savings so they can move to a new city and start a new life together. But guess who shows up at the same bank, at the same time, on the same floor.
In this version, Viola & Kiki are huge Aisha fans, and Phillipe tells the Twins to go to Image As Designed to become Aisha in an attempt to win Gat over so they can make a deal with the Saints... But Gat wasn't born yesterday and sees right through their disguises.
Lin and Donnie just couldn't stay out of the game, so Donnie took to the media in an attempt to gain publicity for the Saints, while Lin goes undercover as Killbane's publicist. Once her cover is blown, the Boss must stage a mid-air accident to make her "disappear".
I don't really have much to say about this change, this is just my favourite version of Kinzie. (If you choose to leave her files out when installing the mod, make sure to update the ASM file)
So yes, the Boss and Pierce were sent to Safeword to rescue Zimos... Without a description. Oh well, I'm sure he'll escape on his own.
For this to work, we have to assume that after the Saints killed Loren, they went back to Stilwater, but it took at least two years before they held the memorial service, because they were hoping to at least find his body. So present day, while the Boss and Pierce are looking for Zimos, they are very surprised to find Gat in the pony barn instead. They both decide that time is not on their side, so this is the "Zimos" that they're here to rescue.
While Kinzie is disappointed that they didn't rescue the real Zimos, the Boss and Pierce convince Kinzie that Gat is way better.
(Forgot to get a picture from this mission, but just pretend Gat's wearing the outfit in the above picture and Shaundi looks like her SR2 counterpart) So Pierce and Gat planned a surprise party for Shaundi (and to welcome Gat back), but Shaundi found out about it too early, and when Gat tries to diffuse the situation with some dark humour, Shaundi doesn't take it well.
Also, at some point during the two years the Saints were waiting to hold the memorial service, Donnie becomes the owner of the 3 Count Casino. Making for an interesting confrontation when the Boss and Angel are looking for Angel's Mask.
And as a bonus, the Homie conversation between "Zimos" and Viola still works. However the one between "Zimos" and Shaundi will have to be ignored.
Lin & Donnie are available in Gang Customization under "Clubbers" (along with two bonus Characters). The Stilwater Gangs are split between "Bikers" & "Punks". Pony Zimos is available in "Gimps".
