Sr2 bitmap tilesheet

I have a couple of ideas what it might be, but I'm not sure.

1. Are you replacing icons or adding new ones?

2. If you are adding new icons havebyou added entries for them in the x5bl files that go with the peg files? (Example: ui_bms_00.xtbl)

Do you mean bitmap_sheets_XX.xtbl? In SR2, this contains information for every bitmap sheet. There are multiple versions of this file for localization (even though they're exactly the same), so you'd need to edit all of them. They're very long files.
Hey sorry to bother u again but do u have any idea why my custom pegs arent loading properly. I extracted em with the peg tool, edited them with paint.net n pacced em bacc up n put em in my patch but it doesn't seem to be reading them.
Are you sure you don't have any other versions of the .pegs installed? I've made that mistake plenty of times.

One issue I've had before is sr2_PegTool won't build a .dds if the path to the .png is longer than a certain length. So it's best not to work too deep in your folder system.
 
Hey my bad my internet is trash I just saw this, My game just wont read the custom pegs I make for some reason. It'll load weapon pegs (that I didnt make) but I cant get the ui n interface pegs to load, I tried loading a couple icon in that interface backend too and that shit wouldnt load either. Why you think that is?
You want to replace homie's background in the cellphone? they're in another .peg file..

I don't think do I have to install them in the peg n chunk4 vpp's aswell, I'm tryna do contact pictures n bitmap icons.
n I just been draggin n dropping the pegs in the peg tool.

You only need to edit those files if you're adding new images to a bitmap sheet. If you're replacing images in the bitmap sheet, you shouldn't need to touch these files.

If you do need to edit these files, and you want everyone to be able to use your mod, yes, you do need to edit every language. But you can use WinMerge to make this much easier.

No, just install them as you normally would for any other mod.

Yea damn thats a trip then cuz I'm pretty sure I'm doin it right, I put tha peg n tha g peg in my gibbedtool folder drag n drop tha peg on tha tool edit tha png in paint.net just overlapping contact pictures n merging the layers down then drag n droppin the desc in the tool n building the ui_cell_homie.peg_pc n ui_cell_homies.g_peg_pc bacc into the patch it just doesnt seem to read my be reading. Any ideas what that could be?
