SR1 - Expanded Arsenal

Expanded Arsenal adds a variety of 22 new weapons to Saints Row's sandbox and adds new features to the already existing vanilla 22 guns. The additional weapons are either from the demo, cut from the final game, only exclusive to multiplayer, or of course totally custom made. Some additional changes to the base game weapons include restoring the feature of being able to melee while crouching for both melee weapons and firearms. Another bonus feature is the ability to kick open doors at any given moment by standing and using your alt. melee attack (Left Trigger). The kick also acts as a spartan kick, allowing you to launch NPCs from the end of your boot. Be wary, this can happen to you as well. These are just two of many changes offered by Expanded Arsenal. So go ahead and knock yourself out. There's plenty of newfound options to wreak havoc in Stilwater.

Requirements:
Xenia Xbox 360 Emulator or RGH/Jtag
Copy of Saints Row (you can obtain this from Flippy's website)
Xbox 360 Backup Creator to extract files from the SR1 ISO
SR1Tools (you can obtain this from Flippy's website)

PICK A VERSION:

1 - Progressive: This will have everything unlocked via story progression and purchaseable for a fee at Friendly Fire.
2 - Unlock All: This will have everything immediately accessible from the crib and all items free of charge at Friendly Fire.

Install:
1.) Put SR1Tools in the root of your Saints Row directory (Make sure there's no spaces in your directory at all, sometimes it causes it not to work).
2.) Go to Saints-Row\packfiles and copy misc2.vpp_xbox2
3.) Paste in Saints-Row\SR1TOOLS\1-input
4.) Go to Saints-Row\SR1TOOLS and run the "unpack" batch file
5.) Go to Saints-Row\SR1TOOLS\2-workspace\VPP\misc2
6.) Replace everything in my misc2 with the files from Progressive/Unlock All.
7.) Go to Saints-Row\SR1TOOLS and run the "pack" batch file
* - This will create a new "misc2.vpp_xbox2" and install to your packfiles folder in your root folder.
** - If you get unauthorized access then most likely the misc2 packfile is read-only. Just delete it in your packfile folder and then run the pack batch file again.
8.) Go to "Usable Kebab Model" from the mod folder. Copy the "preload_lower" packfile.
9.) Go to Saints-Row\packfiles and replace the preload_lower file you just copied by pasting it in there.
9.) You can open the game and go to Friendly Fire or your Crib's weapon cache to start having fun!

Bugs:
Certain weapons disappear when you replace them off the ground and cannot be picked back up.
AR-47 magazine is not centered. This is a model issue, there's no way to fix this on my end, I'm afraid. If it's bothersome you can replace the mag with the M4's.
Breaks cutscenes. I'm working on fixing this. I'll have to cut some weapons, and move things around which will most likely be the sillier weapons!

Notes:
This mod took 50+ hours to make given its extensive testing. It was extremely tedious and I contemplated just dropping the project entirely after only creating five guns. However, I kept going solely because of the pimpslap. It was one of my favorite weapons in SR2 and it drove me insane wondering how to replicate it as best as I could in SR1. I dropped the project a year ago but picked it up recently since I had a week off work for Thanksgiving Break 2025. That said I practically turned this into a job, that's what it felt like. I was very burnt out but once I finally managed to figure out how the pimpslap worked it motivated me to keep going. Now there's an insane amount of weapons to play with and choose from. I hope you all enjoy using them at the same level as I enjoyed making them (minus the pimpslap haha). I'm pretty proud of the results and if anyone discovers any bugs let me know and I will do my best to correct them!

Glock 18 & AR-15 interesting. Saints row 2 would be nice with such items.

I was actually debating with myself on even having an AR-15 because I was thinking would anyone even really use it? But I wanted one for myself. And yeah I might make something like this for Saints Row 2. Not so sure yet because I haven't hacked that game at all so I don't know what's possible. But after I make the things I want for SR1 I'll eventually move onto 2!

It would be useful by making it more accurate compare to M4 Variant. Semi automatics often are more accurate and could feel rewarding. It adds difficulty.

It has the feature of zooming in which makes the accuracy borderline pinpoint. It doesn’t zoom in anywhere near as far as the sniper but yes it is more accurate than the M4 when ADSing
