Saints Row 2 crashing without warning with GOTR

I know SR2 on PC is broken to hell and the GOTR mod fixes most problems with the game, but it still crashes.
Things I have already done:
Installed GOTR
Updated to DX 11.2
Verified files via Steam
Crawled through forum posts.
Installed Powertools
Please help me, I love this game.
