If you're wondering what these people are going on about there's this horde-based coop shooter on Steam called Payday 2 which MIND you the developers specifically stated there wouldn't be any microtransactions, well... every year the developers; Overkill host an event called "Crimefest" in which they give the community a set of challenges which in turn unlocks extra content for the game. Well this year Overkill decided to go full Order 66 on their fans by not only introducing microtransactions but also scamming the website PD2Stats into oblivion, butchering mod support by disabling all modding formats this game supports (BLT, LUA, PD.MOD etc) and have gone completely silent outside a tweet from the voice actor for the character Chains, Damien Poiter. (BTW two of Overkill's employees Simon Viklund, who voice acted the character Bain and created the game's OST, and Ulf Anderson, the person who did the voice acting for the character Wolf have both recently quit)
