NPC Model Swap assistance

Less of a mod request, more of a request for help making a mod. I've recently been taught how to swap Character models in SRIV, but the whole Aliens & Super Powers just isn't part of the experience I'm looking for.

I know there are tutorials for how to transfer SRIV models to SRTT... But I just can't follow instructions without assistance. Someone was helping me, but they're not entirely sure how to help with this particular problem.

In case it's necessary, this is the basics of what I'm trying to do:

Saints:
Shaundi - SR2 Shaundi
Kinzie - SRTT Kinzie (But from SRIV)

Syndicate:
Loren - SR2 Playa
Viola - Lin
Kiki - SRTT Shaundi (But from SRIV)
Matt - Presidential Pierce
Killbane - SRTT Gat (But from SRIV)
Morningstar Specialist - Mr. Sunshine
Deckers Specialist - Jyunichi
Luchadores Specialist - Maero
Morningstar - Combination of Saints, Samedi, Ronin, Brotherhood
Deckers - Combination of Saints, Ronin, Brotherhood
Luchadores - Combination of Saints, Brotherhood

SNG:
SNG - Masako

STAG:
Temple - SR1 Playa
Kia - Tanya
STAG Soldiers - Combination of Saints, Vice Kings

Misc: (If Possible)
Technically Legal Spawn - Johnny Gat (Recruit-able) either sat on a chair watching the show, or stood cheering or something (Intended for the Gang Bang mission)

There are lots more details, like mission specific spawns, notoriety spawns, district spawns, model variants... But in order to do any of it, I need to get the SRIV models into SRTT first. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Sorry, I'm not gonna be able to help you. This is me just uping the request.

A while ago I tried to import the Zombie models from SR4 into SR3 following this guide Replacing NPCs with SR4 models. However after following all the steps to a T, the peds I had given the new models always refused to spawn, no matter what I did.

So yeah, some people have mastered this skill. This isn't my case.

Yeah, and I know it is definitely possible to learn how to do this, because someone made the Vice Kings Takeover mod for me.

I've even tried studying the files in that mod to see if I can figure out what I need to do... But all that happened is I got frustrated because the Gibbed Tools exe wouldn't actually do anything. No matter how many times I clicked it.

I learn better from a live tutorial, so if I get stuck, I can ask questions between steps.

Actually, coming back to where I left off... I may not need Gibbed Tools... At least not for the extraction part. It seems I've inadvertently completed the extraction process for both character.vpp_pc files using ThomasJepp.SaintsRow.ExtractPackfilesGUI.exe

Hold on... According to the readme, this "ThomasJepp" tool pack is compatible with SRTT & SRIV... Does that mean that any steps telling me to use Gibbed Tools, I can just use ThomasJepp instead?

Well, it didn't matter which extractor I used for the str2 files, because none of them did anything. I'm trying not to get frustrated, but this happens to me whenever I try to learn anything. The first time I tried learning to use the Washing Machine, I broke it... There was water everywhere... I guess I'm just a special kind of useless.

I think you're using the wrong one, to extract use "Gibbed.SaintsRow3.UnpackSTR2" then replace the models then to repack "Gibbed.SaintsRow3.PackSTR2" then dump the 2 new files where the game exe is. But I think you need ASM updater tool to update the files

I dragged and dropped the files onto this exact exe, but nothing happened. A little black window with text on it appeared for a few seconds, but I didn't even get a chance to read any of it before the window closed.

I looked around for any new folders that might have been made, but found nothing
 
I'll come back to this thread, when I attempt it again. This probably won't happen anytime soon though, still barely having enough time to enjoy my hobbies.

I wish SRTT received a bit more love... *sigh*
