Yes. General wisdom across all game modding: don't install a mod if you don't know where it's going or what it's doing. Steam Workshop subscriptions don't let you see this very easily, so the best advice is that if a mod from there is doing this, unsubscribe from the mod and try a different one. Because I'm willing to bet it's not ANY mod that's doing it, it's that one you really want, and you really haven't done troubleshooting to see if others are the same.
