Modifing The Music Within Saints Row 2

Great stuff! It makes understanding the 40K (sorry, what!?) lines of mess that is music.xtbl a bit easier... or maybe I'm just spoilt with SR3's newer system where each station was their own .xtbl and you could remove sweeps/commercials by tweaking the percentage values, lol.

I'm looking to remove commercials & sweeps from the stations, and from Part 7 and some reading I assume each station in radio.xtbl plays a sequence of groups (which are from music.xtbl) that are played in order? What parts should I remove? Is it even possible to trim out the intro without cutting up parts of songs?
I'll try finding out the answers myself as well, since it seems to be openable with the Table File Editor within "Kinzie's Toolbox". No guarantees I'll figure it out before you reply though, because wow, what a massive file! Check out how small that scrollbar is! And this is just one station!! (Sorry, the caffeine got to me)

There is also a bit of typo in Part 7 (underlined):
By studying them both you cab see what needs to be removed and how to do s

Again, thanks for the post. It's great to have a beginning guide of even understanding how the stations work!

No matter what I do, xactxtract fails to get certain files, like you mentioned - and unxwb results in files that are unusable, they can't be played and don't seem to contain the correct data. They're a fraction of the size they should be.

Fijiboy99 are you using the correct version of unxwb? Each version of Xact seemed to change the file format a little bit so in order for it to work you may need a certain version of the program. If you think you might have too new a version check the link on the wayback machine there should be an older version there.

I have attached a copy of the SRSoundTools.zip file that is also part of the N69 tutorial to the first page of this tutorial. The only difference between the original file and this new one is that I have added a copy of UnXwb to the archive.

Idk, I know I used the one that was attached, and it was giving me an error that it was the wrong version. But the radio stations still seem to work even with the missing files
