Mod Reviews.

Just some reviews I thought I should share with you guys on the various mods available on the site. Since there's barely any mods for SR2 and since I haven't played GOOH yet this will be limited to SR3 and SR4. So without further ado, let's get started.

SR3 Mods
Gentlemen Of Steelport by Idolninja: This mod adds in a vareity of small mods such as cheats no longer flagging your save, the ability to change clothing colors in the wardrobe and mods that increase vehicle speed, allow to customize helicopters at the Rodini Dock, fix an annoying bug with the Bulldog and turn the giant ball from Belgian Problem into an aircraft. This mod does lose some points since some of the sub-mods are outdated. Thankfully since you can install it in the games cache it works with most of the other mods on the forum. I recommend using this with Firespites Color Mod and Encogens Mod.

Shitface's NPC Behavior and Spawn Mod by Shitface: This mod adds in a huge variety of civilians to the streets of Steelport, increases traffic density and improves the three existing gangs. It also makes the civilians much more aggressive and some of the new NPC's include Midget Wrestlers, Pet Tigers and Female Brutes. As for the existing gangs the morningstar now use the Vulture alongside the Tornado, Brutes are now more common, Mstar specialist now spawn on the ground, Armored Deckers in Bear APC's arrive on the scene, the number of police has been increased and the luchadors now use the Infuego. Just be warned that the increased spawn rates will make the game lag like hell if you have a lowend computer.

A New Enemy In Town by Miku: Instead of adding new civilians or improving the Syndicates finest this mod adds in a "New Symdicate" comprised of the Knights, Semi-Kings, Rollers, Gimps, Militia, Cyber-Soldiers, The Academy, Big Players and BIO. The cool thing about this is that the new gang can either help the Saints or engage in a large scale gang war. Hell as a matter of fact the same thing can happen when your fighting the Syndicate or Law Enforcers. My main complaint is that the mod has a weapon xtbl file that you NEED to install or else certain enemies *cough SWAT* will practically be bullet sponges.

Handgun Fun by Hoeward: In my opinion this is the best weapon balence mod for SR3. It drastically overhauls all of the weapons, yes even the useless ones such as the assault rifles and Kobra! It also makes the Temporary Weapons permanent inventory items, gives the Kobra a burst-fire mode, allows you to use shotgun while inside a vehicle and best of all the SMG dual wield upgrade applies to the Gravedigger. I highly recommend using this with A New Enemy In Town or the NPC Behavior and Spawn Mod.

Cazzonero Armory by Cazzonero: This mod is a good contender to Hoeward's Handgun Fun. It increases the rate of fire for the AR55, Kobra, Sheperd and Ultimax, it makes the Krukov useful, it removes incendiary rounds from the Tek which makes it more useful against Flamethrower Brutes and those pesky Luchador Specialists and it removes that god-awful heat system from the laser weapons.

That's it for now. I'll probably update this thread tomorrow. Let me know what you think.

Wouldn't recommend Gentlemen of Steelport though, a lot of mods are extremely outdated or replaced by much better counterparts.
Also, it's best to use NPC Behaviour and Spawn Mod along with Shitface's Weapon Re-Balance, those two mods used together bring some special features.
