Mod Request: Freeze Timer

it's rather a bit of "easier said than done" type of thing, tried the Trail Blazing (hard difficulty) several times and I always ran out of time.

Also how do you beat the Escort mission? There is just no way to escape that army of paparazzi media vans.

Well, I think the 2 tips I gave on the Trail Blazing (1st page) should be enough, but if it's not, I guess you just have to be persistent.

Also, I'm surprised you have trouble with Escort, I thought that was probably the easiest. Here's some things I do/try-to-look-for in Escort:

- While your sedan ain't a speedster, it's still a hell of a lot faster than those vans, especially when you floor it and get it up to top speed. (And again, the "Nitrous on all vehicles" unlockable should help, though I can't remember if it's disabled during Escort. I remember it not working during some diversion, just not which one. I know it worked on all the Trail Blazing ones, though).

- And where's the easiest place to floor it? Long, wide, roads. Use your map to find the nearest one, plot a course, then floor it as long as the road will let you, then pull up your map and do it again. Or just pull a quick u-turn.

- Plow through the van-blockades (but at least try to go for the small gap in between the vans). For some reason, the Escort car is freakishly strong (might even be indestructible, I don't remember if I ever had it blow up on me).

- Got vans close on your tail? Remember: they follow your path fairly closely. Switch over to the oncoming lane, and go for "near misses", and sharp(ish) turns immediately after. They'll try to cut that corner, which sometimes means hitting the car you just went around, stopping them dead, giving you time to get some distance.

- When you get a special request (avoid the other client/spouse, kill this person), do it soon. Until you do, the "pleasure" meter won't go up (I think). HOWEVER, you don't HAVE to do it immediately, there's no countdown. So you can wait 'til it's safer (circle the block to get distance between you and the vans).

Hope any one of these can help.

EDIT: Or, you could (if you have Steam, and a legal copy of the game bought through it), you could try going co-op, but I've never done activities in co-op, so I don't know if the game would actually let someone help.
You could even try it with me personally:

Add me as a friend first, so I know when to expect you.

Thanks for the advice guys, but activating cheats would mean disabling the achievements at the same time, which I would not risk it.

Anyway finally beat all the Escort missions, lured the media vans onto long stretches of highway and turn around
whenever there's a U turn in the middle, just make them run around in this huge circle.

But that Tron cycle Trail Blazing mission (hard difficulty) is still tough to beat, you have 17 checkpoints and I
always ran out of time at between checkpoint 10 and 12.

Are you using the Nitrous on All Vehicles ability (not a cheat, an unlockable)?
And are you letting up on the throttle to avoid orange/hit blue (tanks & flames)?

If you are, try using Nitrous less (it can make you go up the tube vertically, turn you around, etc.), and let off the gas more. Of course, when the finish line is the next marker, you can floor it and use nitrous, hit anything you want, because it won't count, seeing as there's no "next marker" to be penalized for.

If you want to use cheats without losing achievements just edit your cheat.xtbl
For example on a cheat normally you would see this line "<Dont_Flag_As_Cheating>False</Dont_Flag_As_Cheating>"
Simply change that to "<Dont_Flag_As_Cheating>True</Dont_Flag_As_Cheating>" and your set it will not longer stop you from autosaving getting achievements ect ect. Enjoy guys.

Edit: Just to mention you must edit that line for ANY cheat you plan on using before you use it.
I'm not sure if this will work after you use one so make sure to do it first.
