Major crash when you start a new game right before the cutscene

I've tried alot of things, restarting, reinstalling, installing different saints row 2 sources, messing with compatiblity settings, changing fullscreen resolutions and it happens no matter what. I suspect that maybe there's settings on my computer that when they make the mod files they make them corrupted as the GOTR doesn't have full permissions to run, so when the game starts it crashes as it's modded and the mod is defective. what do you all think?
 
To confirm, the game runs fine vanilla and only crashes when GotR is installed? Also, you are using the fully patched legal Steam version of the game and not the censored German version, right?

If so, build the standard GotR with no optional mods selected, and compress (zip, winrar, 7zip, etc) and attach your patch file here in this thread and I'll take a look.
 
It's not the German version, it is pirated as I own it on my xbox 360 and I have an extra copy that sustained heat burns and is glitchy.

I did try it with nothing added to it and it still crashed.
 
Okay I'm back again because I'm pissed. it's clear you made it so your GotR is completely incompatible with the pirated versions of saints row 2. I'm mad because you need to state that in the FAQs and GUIDES? I wasted like 6 hours over the last two days trying to figure this thing out. And anouther thing, Why should I have to buy Saints row 2 for PC when I already own it on xbox 360 download, and own a damaged disk of it? It's not like I can take the bar code off the case and get a pc download of it for free. unless I'm missing something. I just want the version on the computer to mod. There are responsible pirates you know. You can ban this account to if you like but I really want a responce. best bet would be to email this accounts email with your response and delete both of these accounts.
