How does the optimization of Saints Row 2's PC port compare to GTA IV's?

I'm asking because I am considering buying SR2's PC version. I've heard that SR2's PC port is not well optimized, like GTA IV's PC port.

I already have GTA IV for the PC, so I am familiar with its optimization (or rather, the lack of optimization). I would like to know if SR2's PC port optimization is worse, or better.

Gta iv's optimisation REALLY isnt that bad; especially if you have patch 7; sr2 is bad but its very widely exaggerated imo; gta iv is optimised alot nicer though;

1680x1050 Gta iv med on my pc: 30-36 fps
1280x1024 Sr2 min on my pc: 12-20 fps
(My rig in signature)

So yeah thats that; also there is the powertools for sr2 but never used them so cant judge

It's apples and oranges. GTA4 just needs a powerful computer to run well. SR2 is an overall poor port. Whereas most of the problems I've seen people have with GTA4 are of the "my computer can't handle this!" variety, SR2's problems are legitimately "it doesn't work right!" or "this is entirely broken!" stuff. I mean, I've yet to hear of GTA4 having any of the crazy slowdown, buggy, crashy glitches that SR2 has. It runs a lot better than SR2 here, too, even with crazy graphics mods.
But if you have a relatively decent computer, it can't be all that bad.
(For reference: GTA4 runs at ~40FPS looking like this, SR2 runs at ~30FPS looking like this.)

Probably using an ENB or some other kind of graphical injector/hook
