Hi there!
So, long story short, I enjoy sticking mods in games without backing up the original files first, (none of you have seen the disaster that was Fallout: New Vegas) and now I'm in a bit of a pickle.
Due to what I'm assuming are mod conflicts, I can't get past the loading screen for a save. I tried "retracing my steps" by going back and removing mod files, but there are a few that were completely replaced.
Usually in this situation, an uninstall/reinstall fixes everything by setting the game files back to normal. However, in the case of Saints Row IV, all the files are the exact same upon reinstall. There are still mod files sitting in the folder and saves present, as if I had never uninstalled the game.
I bought and run my game through Steam, and hadn't been having troubles with it prior to mod-usage (aside from it occasionally crashing during car customization, but who needs cars, anyways?). Does anyone think my game is salvageable, or is this a "broken forever" type of situation?
Thanks in advanced!
