Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics FREE promo!

Are these steam licenses or what? Id rather know before making a gog account just to get em

gog.com is not linked with Steam at all, but they are one of the very best online digital retailers for videogames out of everyone. Good Old Games (gog) is a subsidiary of CD Projekt, the guys who make The Witcher games, and all games they offer are 100% DRM free and legit with no license issues or registration or any bullshit. In fact, if you were to ask me the top two digital distributors for videogames I would say Steam and gog. Easy. You can absolutely trust them.

I see, thanks for the informations. If I were to ask you about top 5 digital distributors in video games, what would your answer be? Steam, gog, ???, ??? and ???. Also, how do you identify the legitimacy of the websites.

Gamersgate is pretty good. Amazon digital for Steam keys if it's a good deal.

Green Man Gaming is terrible and has issues where banks will flag your account if you buy something there with your credit card. Stay away.

That's about it, really.

EDIT:
Origin fucking sucks.

Did u just say 'DRM FREE'?!?! holy shit its been a long fucking time since I heard that in the pc gaming world

I didn't know they were related to CD Projekt. That's neat... my respect for CDP went up more :)

I have known about GOG though.. as noted, they are DRM free, and probably one of the few few few things out there that does. More than that they like to bring old games (that often DID have some DRM) and update them if possible before release. If it's a DOS game, it can get a dosbox release to go with so you can play. And if you prefer to use your own variety of dosbox, that's fine, you bought the game so it's yours to pull out and play with as you want.

shame I already HAVE those games. Ah well. If you didn't get them shame on you, they might not look pretty but the Fallout games were rather genre-defining for a reason, and probably one of the biggest reasons Black Isle existed, and then sent all the spinoff results (developers, companies, games, etc etc). Of course Interplay is looking toi cash in on that so now they resurrected the Black Isle name (just the name, no one from the original Black Isle is there, they've all moved on) but they lost the Fallout license for a reason, so don't expect another game of that quality from them ever.

On the other hand, Wasteland 2 IS in start now by inXile... :D
