(Deprecated) The Boss Vs. Donnie

I had a thought yesterday about the cannonization activity in the orginal Saints Row
game and then I recalled a post here on the board about possbily modding the fight club activity
into a version of cannonization, but if I recall correctly when you try to move the fighters to other locations you get some rather humorous glitches. So I thought that rather than move the fight club maybe you could just make your own. This mod is my proof of concept.

This mod places Donnie in the office of his garage, and when you walk into the room (or when he sees you) he will attack you. I have given him 10000 heath points so if you choose to engage in fisticuffs it may prove to be a lengthy battle.

You mean this old thing?...

SR1 canonizing was part of a mission script. I'm thinking maybe it could be done as a custom mission in SR2 via SuperUI...

It wasn't my intention to be unfair in any manner. If I came across as harsh, self important or as some kind of a know-it-all then please forgive me. I sincerely apologize I wasn't attempting to imply that it couldn't be done via SuperUI or Juiced. I'm sure that both could create a better script than the one that I posted.

The reason I brought Fight Club up at all was as a point of context.
I remember your post about it and the floating npcs that resulted
from moving the location and I just happened to realize that a person could program a (very rudimentary) fight via a cts file. Then I realized that bypassing the fight club code would stop the fighters from floating.

In retrospect I should have explained things in a different manner,
but my logic is this:

Pick a location and an npc or group of npcs and set up a fight. After considering it further cannonization is probably not a feasible use as there is not reward system just a scripted action.

What my ultimate goal is when the script is finished is to set up
boss fights that can occur at certain locations, and possibly a battle royale between oneself and other gang leaders in a knock down drag out free for all.

Woah, okay, calm down! No one's upset here! You're good, man. Nothing wrong with anything.

"To be fair" is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot where I'm from. It doesn't mean anything. I should have thought about the potential for misunderstanding before writing it. My bad.

I only linked to my old project to give more context to anyone reading this thread. I haven't worked on it in probably over a year. It's pretty much dead.

I have started working on a missions project, and your mod here gave me an idea. I was thinking aloud. The project is an excuse to learn lua, and I can visualise how it might be possible to make a faux "Fight Club" as a SuperUI custom mission. I was looking through SuperUI's files the other day and thought it's disappointing that no one other than Nclok1405 ever really utilised this.

No problem. It was just a misunderstanding on my part. Fact is I know that what I'm working on is going to be rudimentary at best.

Looking forward to seeing you come up with.

Updated files. Donnie is still available to fight at his garage, Dane is in his office, The General was last spotted, along with his Hounfor,
at the dilapidated Freckle Bitches Drive In near the abandoned theater and Matt is located in the venue where his hand was damaged.
(There is a teleport outside the building.)

I will most likely change the location of the Matt battle because the location is not completely solid. If either one of you gets tossed of stage it messes things up.

(Updated files in the first post.)

Note: Sometimes if these npcs get startled they will run away or cower instead of fighting.

Files Updated: Maero is on top of the Brotherhood Hideout, Veteran Child is inside the Frat Row Scratch That, Jessica is in the bank,
Mr. Sunshine is outside the Meat Packing Plant in the parking lot and Shogo is in the Tohoku Hotel.

Files in the first post.

Updated Files: Matt is now at the tattoo chair in the Brotherhood hideout, Dane has two Masako bodyguards with him.
The Warp to the concert area has been removed since Matt has been placed elsewhere and there is a warp up the Dane's office just outside the Philips building's front door. (It uses the same coordinates provided by the GOTR mod.)

For anyone studying the code Kazuo is in the cts file but his spawn doesn't work yet.

Files in the first post.

For The general Part i saw Masakoteam back then show us his clip in Roundsquare mall.. he said theres left over file where the general supposed standing still after his bulldog Destroyed.. could be mean this second phase of him restored later?? The cutscene kinda makes scene with it and why the boss checking the general dead body to make sure hes really dead rn.

(Hes also equipped with The weapon only the boss can wield. XM8 )

Could you link me to this?

"Shopping Maul" has a bug on PC that makes it incompletable. It's to do with the win condition being The General's death, but he doesn't switch from invulnerability in time to be killed by the Bullldog's explosion, and usually gets stuck in, or under, the floor. I fixed it a while ago for my current project. But if there's cut content to explore, I'm interested.
