Crashes when I try to load game

bit thick aren't we? dude clearly said it happens whether its a new game or an existing one.

anyway bumping bc i have the exact same issue and i cannot figure it out for the life of me, i even bought a fresh game off GOG because my steam version was doing the same thing.. and guess what? still crashes on a new game.

i've disconnected usbs, disconnected my other monitor, changed the program to run on vulkan, installed gotr, verified files (dozens of times), turned off vsync, changed to windowed, ran absolutely potato graphics settings and quite literally everything else you can find on a forum/youtube video from a google search.
I usually figure it out in the end but this one has me completely stumped.
Actual help would be greatly appreciated
