Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I wanted to share this topic with Idolninja and other members of this forum. I respect Idolninja and just like others I am also waiting for his article. I have also shared this topic in the official forum but I posted it here because I wanted to know Idolninja's opinion.

Can Saints Row 4 do the IMPOSSIBLE ?

I am one of the biggest Saints Row fan but I cannot deny the fact Saints Row 4 is really looking BAD. The graphics, gameplay and setting all look old and dull. Saints Row: The Third sold more than 4 million units just over a year after its release. For Saints Row 4 to not flop, it has to sell around 4-5 million units. And even with good reviews the game will find it very difficult to do that because of it's highly negative and dull first impression. And as in many cases the first impression is the last impression. Also the release of GTA V, Watch Dogs and other big games make the scenario even worse. Nearly the whole internet is full of negative opinions about Saints Row 4. So, its somewhat impossible for SR4 to be a huge hit like SR3. But I hope the game do the impossible and proves to be a hit because I still think that the best game in the Saints Row series is yet to come.
 
Do you really think that Internet opinion means that much in the grand scheme of sales? (HINT: it doesnt')

Vocal and/or angry fans who post on forums are only a small minority of the player base for any game. Trying to make any kind of predictions regarding sales at this point is beyond pointless.

It's Volition, they can do the impossible things, look with a close eye how SR2 works.
 
eh i wouldn't make it a new game it should be dlc would be the best dlc in the history of time but w/e i won't buy it for 60$ because i'd just be getting saints row the third again and it i pretty much saints row the third with added shit i think saints row the third is the worst so far well let me begin why the trailed showed off so much shit but after so many script changes they just decided to fuck it all up and kill johnny gat which was fucking stupid he has been in all three and to be honest i would rather pierce or shaundi to die because fuck the new shaundi and pierce has always been shit and if i've heard correctly sr4 will have old characters in it like johnny aisha lin and hopefully carlos will return and another thing do you think sr3 orignally had johnny alive it showed him in the trailer with oleg and stuff and at the end it looks as if they team up with morning star just saying.

You can't judge a game before trying it. I did the same mistake with WWE Day of Reckoning 2. I bought it and I still like it today.
Sims 3 is another game that had negative review, yet now is a success, even if it has a lot of flaws.
About SR4, I don't except anything from the plot, but I except it will be funny to play.
There are few things I wish from SR series, but I guess I have to wait.
