Can anyone port SR1 songs into SR2?

Is it possible because I saw someone port SR2 Gen X radio station onto Vice City/San Andreas? It's ashame that the first game didn't get a pc port because I think the soundtrack is better then SR2's.

Note: As per the original rules of this forum using assets
from the first game within the second game is not allowed.
Since there is now a dedicated section on SR1 modding I have
no idea if that rule still stands. Therefore I will just
share my thoughts and point you in the right direction.
What you do with that information is up to you.

On my copy of the game (iso) the individual tracks
from SR1 are in mp3 format. The radio station format in
SR2 is wav files read from an xwb file inside of a vpp_pc
file.

If I were going to put the radio stations in my game
the way I would do so would be to just replace the music
in the existing radio stations. You can change the station
name in the radio.xtbl file. Note that this will not change
the radio station artwork. You will have to do that yourself.

This would be very time consuming because in order to do it correctly
you would have to sit down and write down the name of each
song and what order it is in, As well as the commercials
which would have to be repacked in their own file(s).
Then you would have to extract the proper radio stations
from SR2 for replacing.and then you would have to replace
all the music (and commercials) edit the radio and music.xtbl
files and then repack everything. Also unless you wanted to
dig up all of the DJ files from SR1 the dialog won't line up.

If you are interested in attempting it
then there are a couple of tutorials that might help.

FYI The radio station format in San Andreas is different than the one in SR2 and the steps needed to mod it are much different
