Now with time, I read the whole tutorial (which it was a right writing) and gives me feel of give it a try again.
I just have one question: Which are the Vertices/Faces limit? I ask because I've one that it is around 90000 Vertices/Faces and it is just the chest area.
That is what I thought after searching it around about the 3D Max plugging; that tend to weight it random.
I couldn't follow you tutorial as for begging with it I don't know how use Maya (after MANY tries with tutorials and all). But, that problem comes just after importing it, so its more of...
Another question: If I rig/skin weight it on Max, and later import to Maya, it will import without problem? Because lately with or without import it (even just import the sr4 model and inmediatle export as fbx and import it on Maya) it always give me this warning:

Alright... I've to admit that my brain freeze while reading the wholes post, but make me realize that ITS hard to actually apply alpha to the game.
Too bad what I want to change in 3D it has alpha (its a hair piece), but still, this does look interesting to read (even with brain-freeze too)
Wow, so they is a way to import mesh on the game? I will give a try, even do it looks way too long, but I've the patient for it!
Just a quick question: What should be the difference if I do all on 3D Max? I'm more use of using 3D Max 2010 for many years and well, never try Maya too.
I whonder why I didn't add that before?
Anyway; now it works PERFECT! Update the .asm and it did create the .str2_pc! And it work perfect in the game! Thanks a lot!

With all the file on the same folder as usual. Because I've done this with other texture...
I've being doing some texture edit in SR 3 & 4. The problem comes with a funny issue on SR3 tool for convert the images to STR2+ Update the .asm:
The gibbedvolition doesn't know recognize if the name of the texture has space. Example for editing the "Default male diffuse.str2_pc" just for have...
