I get the version number by selecting properties of the exe and looking under details. But thanks for the force update hint. I was wondering where I could check that. Btw, is there some other way to check version numbers?

I apologise if this has come up somewhere in the past, but the search didn't turn up anything on the matter. The voicovers are next to mute in cutscenes although I run voices at 100 percent. That only happens with cutscenes. The rest of the dialogue is perfectly understandable.

Actually, the combination of emptying prefetch and power tools seems to have done the trick pretty decently. It still lags off and on, but not to the extent of the lagfest I had previously.
