Whats the player gang in this one?

Was it already stated that the player group are the Saints in this one? I do get a very heavy Deckers in the beginning vibe from the kids in the trailer. Rise of the Deckers before Morningstar drafted them; or reclaiming their spot in the world after the Saints kicked their butts?

The one Trailer I saw just made me wonder each second if Matt Miller might come around the corner 😆 . I still would not mind a Decker Specialist form of moving around:

Forming the Saints means looking forward to young Gat and Aisha! 🤩

I carefully skimmed it with one eye closed and probably missed a lot. Marketing this days is far to eager to pull down the pants and show everything even before the first date. I got the major good things; full customization is back, its still a open world type setting, I think I read you still have story choice so a somewhat anti-hero boss like in SR3/4 is possible (for all the really awesome things that makes SR2 superior to its sequels; there where a few rare moments I needed to quit it & wished I had a say in what my character does). Lets hope the rumors about its political correctness are merely panic; its need its absudism to distance itself from somber GTA.

Thanks for the share @TheBlueGuys and @Admixon ! :)

The story is going to be more grounded like SR2 as stated by the devs. However, the Saints we're following this time around are fresh faces in a new city. The story of the Saints that we're used to has come to a close.

Basically this. This is a brand new Saints Row universe. We'll still see small things here and there that hearken back to the older games, and the activities do make a return but beyond that just consider this a fresh, clean slate.
