Troubleshooting FAQ / Common Issues

Corrodias

Generally Awesome
This is a compilation of all the information i've gathered from the entirety of the official PC Troubleshooting forum.

Let's get this out of the way: The first step when facing any crashing or map/cutscene/audio/save loading issue is to verify your game cache files and restart Steam. The second step is to make sure your video and motherboard chipset drivers (and i'm serious about those chipset drivers) are up to date.

= Account =

Multiple platforms linked to the same SR3 account, all marked as Primary
solution: unknown. contact Deep Silver's account support? [email protected]

You want to change the account that SR3 is linked to
solution: Contact Deep Silver's account support. [email protected]

Names or passwords with characters that SR3 doesn't allow
explanation: There seems to be trouble logging into the community servers in the game when your name or password contains punctuation.
solution: Change your password to something with only letters and numbers on saintsrow.com. If you're having trouble with this because of the name, maybe Deep Silver's account support ([email protected]) can help. I'm not sure.

Date of birth appears incorrect on the web site or forum (often 2000-01-01)
quote: "This is a known issue on the website, but since you are the only one that views this information, and it has zero effect on any other system on the website side, it's a very low priority bug. We'll be correcting this in the future, but again, since you are the only person that can view your own birthdate, it's low priority compared to actual issues with the website." - V-Singular (Community Manager)

Cannot see/download characters from people on different platforms
explanation: This is a known limitation of the web site. You can only download characters from users of the same platform. No change is planned.

My uploaded characters don't show up
aka
I do not know how to download my characters
solution: Go to saintsrow.com, click "MY STEELPORT", then click "Uploads" at the top. You need to make your character "public" in order to put it in your download queue. After it's public, you can click the character's picture, and on the character's page, you can click "Add To Queue". From there, it can be accessed in the game at Image as Designed stores.

Unable to acquire DLC via Steam in certain countries
explanation: DLC is only available from Steam in certain countries. I think the UK is one where it isn't.
solution: UK players can buy DLC from here: http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/games?prio=relevance&q=saints row
todo: need more precise info

= Graphics =

Character's skin is all black or looks polygonal or shadowy in Initiation Station or SR3 DX9 mode.
Screenshot
quote: "Ambient Occlusion also triggers it on some cards." -- PerfectLife
solution: Set antialiasing and anisotropic filtering to application-controlled in your video drivers control panel. You can even set up a game-specific profile for this.

Character's face looks really weird. Melted. Polygonal. Shadowy.
Screenshot
solution: Same as above.

Smoke and particle effects can be seen through other geometry
Screenshot
Screenshot
solution: Same as above.

Entire character and clothes are pure black, in IS or DX9
Screenshot
solution: Unknown. Try the same as above?

Characters have unusually light textures on parts of their body in DX10/11 mode
Screenshot
explanation: The nvidia GTX 680 card, when running with the 301.10 drivers (and possibly some other combinations) exhibits this error. This is especially evident in the wardrobe or character customization.
solution: Update your video drivers to 301.42 or newer.

Red dots all over in DX10/11 mode
Screenshot
solution: Set antialiasing and anisotropic filtering to application-controlled in your video drivers control panel. You can even set up a game-specific profile for this.

Objects pop up when you get near / excessive popup
explanation: The game has a rather low view distance for objects like cars and signs. It's pretty normal, as seen in this video:
solution: There may be a future mod to increase that distance, but there may not be.

The game or Initiation Station launches, but all i see is a black screen that flickers every few seconds, or my monitor says "out of range"
explanation: It must be detecting your supported resolutions incorrectly.
solution: Manually edit display.ini to use a resolution your monitor can display. Otherwise, you can try opening the properties of the game's .exe file and enabling the 640x480 resolution compatibility setting. Then launch the game and set the resolution to what you want, and turn off the compatibility setting.

Hat brimlines are distorted at the eyebrow
quote: "I've found that hat brimlines, especially the grandpa cap, get distorted if you adjust the sliders for eyebrow height because you can't adjust the height of the reference used for the center of your head" - kaffaljdhma

The "southern belle" hair style flattens or sinks into my head when i ride a motorcycle
explanation: The game does this to prevent tall hair from clipping through the top of vehicles. The Gentlemen of Steelport compilation (in the Mods in Progress forum) can optionally disable this effect, but it'll make hair show up through roofs, so use that option at your own discretion.

The boobs are blurry
explanation: This isn't a bug, you nut. There are mods for this, though. See the Adult Corner forum (you must be a registered user).

= Audio =

Some sounds are missing
quote: "Boots up normally with sound for opening titles, but once game starts loading all goes quiet. Once running, I have no sound whatsoever (cars, ambience, gunfire, etc). Yet I have a voiceover come over and push me to the next level."
solution: For several people with this issue, verifying the game cache files fixed it.

Some sounds are quiet (guns, cars)
explanation: This is usually related to surround sound audio. It's not because audio doesn't come out of the center speaker - that's by design - but rather just because the sounds really are quieter than they should be.
quote: "Oddly enough, when I switched it to a normal quality... the sound was only coming out of my right speaker. The gun sounds were still qiuet too." -- Live2Brightous
quote: "Not only gun sounds are low but car and foot steps as well are very low. I am running optical cabel to a 5.1 rcvr from the Real tek sound on my mb." -- Kottenr
quote: "I Use win 7 ultimate and have a normal stero headphone" -- thread link
Some variations of this bug can be worked around by setting your audio output to stereo, 2.0/2.1 in Windows. There's no setting for audio output in the game.
You may have success by disabling Windows's automatic volume adjustment for communications, as seen here.
solution: According to this thread, you may experience this as a result of skipping the opening videos. Try not skipping them.

Some voices are very quiet in cutscenes
Same as above.

The engine sounds when driving are not synchronized with the action
quote: "Acceleration sounds are delayed and tend to continue long after I'm off the throttle (revving). They don't ever really match up with the action."
quote: "Revving and shifting is all messed up and out of sync too, like cars have unlimited gears. "
quote: "Also, when driving any car it sounds like the car is revving in first gear in a loop."
quote: "i have the same problem, it really sucks when you are driving to have the car audio so off from whats going on, also the whole unlimited gears, car revving and changing gears as long as you are driving, is really annoying also."
solution: Having a web browser (after watching at least a second of a youtube video) or video player (such as VLC or MPC) open while playing the game resolved this for 3 people. I don't think they actively have to be playing anything while you play the game.

Audio desynchronizes or skips/skipping
quote: "I'm fine on the hardware requirements, but the audio is getting way out of hand, to the point where it's almost unwatchable. I'm hearing what's happening roughly 2-5 seconds before I see it. Any one have any experience with this? " -- thread link
quote: "It's now gotten progressively worse, with characters speaking their dialog over each other, or leaving less then a second between replies. This is rapidly becoming unplayable." -- thread link
quote: "For some reason, my G930's cause the audio in SR3 to be out of sync, involving radio songs that play too fast and voices that skip. When I run through the Audio Output (my TV speakers) everything sounds fine, but when I use my headphones, everything sounds bad. Please help."
solution: Unknown, but go ahead and give the workaround for the one above a try.

Voices to my left or right are coming out of the other side
explanation: I have heard this in my own game, when walking around with homies that have mission-initiated voice clips. They'll be coming out of the wrong speaker. It's a minor thing, if a bit distracting.

Cars have infinite gears
explanation: The damn things never stop shifting!

There is a high-pitched noise present in the ambient audio for outdoor areas
explanation: Few people hear this, but it's there.
quote: "You're not crazy. You can just hear ultra-high frequencies. Our senior audio designer just came in and listened to the video (he's got freakish high-frequency-hearing abilities) and claims to have heard it throughout the duration of the video you linked." - The_Pie_Maker (Senior Audio Tester)

= Crashes =

General game crashes on quad-core CPUs
Some systems with more than 2 cores seem to have trouble running the game without crashing.
solution: It helps some people to limit SR3 to running on 2 cores.

Black screen or crash after the AMD logo, copyright notice, or difficulty selection
solution: This is sometimes fixed by verifying the game cache files. Also try running the game in a window. If that doesn't help, make sure your video drivers and motherboard chipset drivers are current. If that doesn't help, i have no idea.

My computer crashes while playing SR3 or SR3 is very slow, and i have a Bulldozer CPU (FX-8170, FX-8150, FX-8120, FX-8100, FX-6120, FX-6100, FX-4170, FX-4120, or FX-4100)
quote: "After I click on DirectX10/11 the computer freezes then reboots. Sometimes I'll see the blue screen, it says "processor timing was off" or something like that. I've set affinity to processor 0 and 1. that didnt help."
explanation: It's a firmware/CPU bug.
solution: You must update (flash) your motherboard's BIOS. Visit your motherboard manufacturer's web site to get the latest BIOS version and to learn how to use it.

My PC turns off while playing
quote: "One Thing... holy hell does it ever produce a lot of heat. The cards build temperature up to 100c / 212f and then shutdown for safety crashing the game. So I need the case open and my house window open (in Canada) and the temp drops to 70c / 158f. I don't have to do this when playing Skyrim or Battefield 3 on max 1080p settings, just sayin." - neocatzeo
solution: While this could be a driver problem, it is most likely some piece of hardware overheating. That is almost always the cause of sudden power loss. Get your PC case open and blow a fan into it while you play (don't JUST leave the case open. that can actually reduce air flow!), and/or cool the room you're in, and see if it doesn't fix this. DO IT, even if other games don't cause it to overheat. SR3 is cpu and gpu intensive to an extent that even Skyrim doesn't match. I am not even joking.
or: If it's not that, maybe your power supply is to weak or is beginning to fail. It's always possible there's a driver or other hardware problem, but we're really reaching at that point.

The game launcher is just a white or grey box
solution: Unknown. I expect verifying the game cache files will clear this up. One user said that moving the game to a smaller (under 2TB) hard drive helped, though it shouldn't make any difference.

The game crashes whenever i exit gang customization
explanation: This happens whether or not you actually modify the gang, it seems. Multiple users have this problem.
solution: Unknown. Though, kaz050 posted, "i found out that going in to lan to change them wont crash", so starting a co-op LAN game might let you use the cuztomization screen without crashing.

"Failed to create graphics device" error
explanation: I haven't seen a solution to this one, or a lot of detailed information, but as far as i can tell, it's caused by having a video card that doesn't meet the minimum requirements, one that doesn't support something the game requires.
solution: You probably have to get a new video card, if it's below the minimum requirements.

In Genki Bowl VII, during the Super Ethical PR Opportunity where you have to drive around Prof. Genki and run over people, it'll randomly freeze.
solution: baronofdoom says that this happens when you run over Saints who are patrolling the street. Avoid them.

= Performance =

Poor performance for whatever reason -- IMPORTANT!
Make sure your Windows power management configuration is set to always on / performance, and not "Balanced". Update your latest video drivers. Update your motherboard chipset drivers.

Side note: I wonder what effect hard drive throughput and seek times have on the data streaming used by this game, when driving around. Food for thought.

Poor performance with ATI cards, or microstuttering
see: http://saintsrow.com/community/go/t...ramerate_while_driving_on_high-end_system_o.o
explanation: This is the official thread. Please read it and post any new information you can offer.
Using two cards in Crossfire mode seems to make it slower. The "CAP2" drivers seem to resolve stuttering in crossfire configurations, but running without crossfire is still faster. I don't know details; i haven't followed this one so closely.
Read that thread! And this one.

Poor performance with nVidia cards
see: http://saintsrow.com/community/go/t...19/Volition,_How_about_a_fix_for_nVidia_cards
explanation: This is the official thread. Please read it and post any new information you can offer.
quote: "The 9100 could give you problems. We list the 8800 because it's a solid card, and still used by a ton of people. Generally, when it comes to minimum, the accepted cards are 8800, then it skips to the 9800 and above. All the cards between 8800 and 9800 aren't fantastic (unless it's the GTS/GTX version), and you could run into some issues at minimum settings." - V-Singular (Community Manager)
quote: "1080p max settings and 4 msaa I average 30 fps with ... 560 ti at 1 ghz and 285.79 drivers ... amd 965 @ 3.8ghz"

Poor performance with a Bulldozer CPU
solution: See the information regarding Bulldozer CPUs in the "Crashes" section above.

Loading screens last way too long
explanation: I'm not sure if this is loading screens just when loading a saved game, or also at other times, but they take minutes, or maybe never load.
solution: Run in a window or turn off v-sync in the game options. One or both of these seem to be related to a loading delay bug. You can also try minimizing and restoring the game while it's loading.
also: WorkingGames said that updating his southbridge chipset drivers actually fixed this one for him, too.

= Multiplayer =

Connection issues
solution: Make sure you follow the Steam guidelines for required ports to have open and forwarded: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

The session is no longer available
solution: See above. I also got this once, and it was resolved by having the host re-start his game.

Cut and Uncut versions unable to play together
aka
"The host is not accepting players at this time"
explanation: Versions of the game with different censoring, such as German and North American, cannot play together.
solution: The only solution is to have both players using either censored or uncensored versions. Germans can apparently import it from the UK, according to this thread. I believe it is also still possible to have a non-German player gift you the game on Steam to get their version instead of the German one. That should work for any game. I haven't done it myself, but people tell me it works.

Co-op is very laggy
explanation: Co-op play in SR3 seems to behave as if there's a lot of latency or packetloss, even on a LAN. The latency reading in the phone is not unreasonably high. The situation is most apparent when you're a passenger in a vehicle.
more explanation: From what i have observed, this may have to do with one or both players having a computer that is too slow, even if it's fast enough to play the game at a reasonable framerate. Co-op play doesn't seem to lag if both systems are easily able to run the game at 60fps.
solution: It may be that the players need faster computers. This is not a certainty, but it's our only lead.

Steam co-op matchmaking doesn't find anybody to play with
Yeah, it usually doesn't. Seems to be a bug, but maybe just nobody wants to play.

This thread has a bunch of other problems that i don't think i've seen mentioned elsewhere: http://saintsrow.com/community/go/thread/view/136781/28698545/Notable_Coop_play_issues.

= Missions and Activities =

In mission 2, "I'm Free - Free Falling", shooting the plane's window doesn't work
explanation: In the second mission of the game, after the first skydiving sequence, you catch Shaundi, and then a plane tries to ram you. You are supposed to shoot the front window until it turns from yellow to black. Then, when the plane hits you, the game is supposed to play a cutscene with you falling through the plane. However, for some people, shooting the window doesn't work. I don't know whether it doesn't turn black or the game just kills them anyway, but either way, they die, and cannot pass this point. This seems to happen to people who have upgraded their weapons via co-op and are now playing single-player.
solution: Use this mod to swap the conditions. Do NOT shoot the window, and you will succeed. (then remove it afterward)

In mission 6, "The Belgian Problem", the cutscene showing the brute jumping on the ball doesn't play, and he kills me every time
solution: Use the "m06_fix.rar" mod attached to this post to make the brute die whether or not you shoot him at all. (then remove it afterward) Just extract the 2 files inside into your "saints row the third" folder, with the executable files. I believe you need to have other mission mods like Mission Replay disabled in order to use this.
or: Play the mission in co-op with someone who doesn't have this bug.
or: Using the Golden Gun cheat works for some people.

The first Zimos escort mission always claims i damaged the car
quote: "Every time i go to the first Zimos Escort it says i damaged the vehicle, even though i just spawned/started the mission, help?"
solution: The second poster said they had the mass car weight and invincible car cheats on, but the mission worked once they turned those off, so try that.

Some of my escort activities on the northeast island are missing
explanation: One person on the forum didn't have two of the escort missions unlocked, despite having completed literally every other thing in the game. I have no idea how that happened.
solution: Use this mod to unlock all 3 of the escort missions on the northeast island when the game starts. (then remove it afterward)

= Gameplay =

Filling up any category of your wardrobe makes it completely unusable
explanation: Buying enough clothes to fill up a category of the wardrobe will make that category completely unusable. You cannot change clothes, nor can you delete anything.
solution: Load an earlier save or wait for a patch. There is nothing else you can do at this time.
IMPORTANT: As far as i can tell, this bug was fixed a while back. I have not been able to reproduce it. If you encounter it, please let me know. (If you're not using the Steam version of the game, don't bother; i have better ways to spend my time.)

Homies don't respond to combat
explanation: When in a car, the homies will shoot at enemies, but on foot, they ignore them.
solution: None at this time. It appears to be an AI bug.

Phone entries, including vehicle delivery and homies, are permanently greyed out OR are missing entirely
explanation: This may be triggered one or the other person using the phone in co-op play. That seems to be a trend.
solution: IdolNinja quoted a somewhat long-winded but perfectly accurate explanation and solution here. My own version of that one has helped several people on the PC Troubleshooting forum, so we know it works well.

Some homies, including Pierce, Shaundi, Oleg, and Viola, are permanently "busy" when you call them
explanation: As far as i can tell, this happens after you finish the last mission, and happens because those homies are flagged to be unavailable when you're on mission 22. Mission 22 is "Three Way"... which is the mission you're allowed to replay, so in a sense, you're still on that mission. That's my best guess as to why they're unavailable.
solution: Use this mod to make the homies available even "during" mission 22.
edit: A DMCA request by some yahoo made the file unavailable. I'm not sure this is still a problem, so i'm not bothering to reupload it. Basically you just remove the mission unavailability from homies.xtbl.

I killed Professor Genki and all i got was this lousy t-shirt. I mean, i didn't get any money!
explanation: Randomly, a Professor Genki NPC will appear as a pedestrian. He is very tough, but if you kill him, you're supposed to get a reward of $100k (modifiable by bonuses to $200k, maybe even more). Some people have trouble claiming the money when he dies.
solution: You have to physically walk up to where he died and pick up his cash. It's not automatically given to you. Try not to kill him with an explosion, because that can throw his body, and make it difficult to find the money or even make it disappar. I prefer melee. Dildo fight! Careful, he goes for the crotch shots. :)

A co-op passenger using the RC gun will jump out of the car when they try to detonate the controlled vehicle
explanation: Yep.
solution: Don't do it.

The 45 Sheperd handguns do not alternate between hands when firing
explanation: It's usually the right-hand gun that fires. This is a common problem. I personally get a greatly reduced rate of fire when using dual SMG's or pistols.
quote: "Been having an issue when dual wielding the .45 Shepard. For me when I try to shoot at max rate of fire it stops alternating between guns. Just the right gun fires and you essentially have a single gun with double the ammo. If you slow down the mouse clicks it'll start alternating again. I don't have the same issue with the Kobra or either of the submachine guns." -- Denjiro
solution: What works for me is to walk/run while firing. I don't know of anything else you can do to fix this.

Your tank is invincible
explanation: It seems the player's tank is at least sometimes completely invincible. The "Tank Mayhem" challenges have repair points that are completely pointless. However, i can confirm that your tanks in the open world are not invincible.

Saints will sometimes appear with a random appearance, not what they've been customized to
explanation: I have seen this happen. Sometimes you'll see space/cop/wrestler/whatever saints on the streets even if you haven't unlocked those appearances yet.

Vehicle customization may not work
quote: "The Saints do not drive the vehicles I assigned. Hell, they don't even drive any vehicles in the street at all. The roads are clear of Saints, only thing I see are Saints occupying the sidewalk. When they DO appear in vehicles, they're always Criminals, which is not one of the vehicles I assigned." - TSonar

The Gender Equality achievement may not work
I just got this achievement today, after choosing a male character, something i have done many times before. Go figure.

The Partners in Crime coop achievement may not work

The Car Torpedo challenge may not behave as you expect
quote: "Get hold of a fast car, upgrade it fully to maximum frame and speed, then drive to the airport. Get up to full speed, bail out and let the car torpedo directly into a wall without hitting anything else." - tarwedge

= Controls =

Strange control behavior, controls not responding, or character/view is always moving when it shouldn't be
explanation: This is usually caused by having an extraneous controller or input device connected to the system. SR3 has issues with anything other than a 360 pad.
solution: Unplug steering wheels, joysticks, and any other input device besides an XBox 360 controller, mouse, or keyboard. You may be able to use an XBox 360 controller emulator to make your device look like one, but i offer no support for that because i know nothing about how well it works.

Even my XBox 360 controller doesn't work right or can only skip cutscenes
solution: See the previous question, but also, a couple of users have had success by uninstalling drivers for other control devices (Logitech, Razer, Belkin, anything) and/or reinstalling their 360 controller drivers.

I can brake with the left trigger, but i can't drive in reverse
solution: Same as above.
quote: "By holding in the left trigger, and then pressing the right trigger a few times in rapid succession, I can typically get the game to work as intended. It stops the character from shooting, and it gets the cars to go into reverse." - nauthizzz

I want to use a non-360 controller with SR3
solution: You can try a PS3 controller with the Motioninjoy drivers, in 360 emulation mode, but i have not tried it in SR3 myself. For any other controller, try the XBOX 360 controller emulator.

Every time i have Steam verify the game cache files, it re-downloads 82.7 MB
This is a known issue. You can ignore it as long as it isn't downloading anything else.

The clothes my character started with aren't in my wardrobe
explanation: That's right. You don't actually own the clothes you start with. You can save them as an outfit, but if you want to use them like regular clothes, you're going to have to go out and buy them.

No saved games show up in the game, despite your save files existing
aka
All of my saved games / save files are gone!
explanation: SR3 relies solely on the Steam Cloud storage system for its saved games. When this is not functioning correctly, sometimes the game will tell you you have no saves or that you cannot save.
solution: Restart Steam. That should generally solve the problem. If it still doesn't work, set your game list to "list view" (controls for switching this are in the upper right corner) and check that the cloud icon on the SR3 line doesn't have a '?' on it. Make sure Cloud support is turned on (check the game properties).
quote: "Ok i found a little Workaround for me now. You need to have Steam Cloud Activated and start the Game in Steam Online Mode. After you Exit the Game make sure your Steam is connected with the Internet. Exit Steam and make sure SR3 synchronizes with Steam Cloud. When you Start Steam the next Time and start SR3 it can happen that Steam cloud asks wich Savegame it should use. Select the option Downlad Savegame from Steam Cloud. You need to repeat that every Time you start the Game. In other words right now you can't save in Offline Mode you can only really save the Game online over Steam Cloud." - Punisher1911

I get an error that says, "Insufficient space on the storage device to create save data." or, "The storage device you have selected does not have enough space to create a new save."
solution: Same as above. Restart Steam, make sure Cloud support is turned on (check the game properties).

The game returns to the main menu after selecting a difficulty setting
solution: Verify your game cache files.

The statistics say i have one failed mission, but i never failed a mission
explanation: This seems to be a common occurance. There is no known solution. Fortunately, statistics are not important.

When the game is minimized, typing in other programs is extremely slow
solution: I got this with the Initiation Station, too. Try running the game a window and not minimizing it, or running it in DX10/11 mode.

Conflicts with User Account Control / Run As Administrator
solution: Running Steam as an Administrator might work. For best results, put Steam somewhere other than the Program Files directory. It's also possible that putting Steam and SR3 on the C: drive will help. This is a really weird one.

Display option changes won't save, or keep reverting
solution: I suspect this is the same as above. SR3 saves its display configuration to display.ini within the game folder, and if that's protected by Windows, you could have trouble.

The saintsrow.com stats sometimes do not accurately reflect having taken over 17/17 hoods
quote: "It says on my stats screen that I have 94% hood completion, but in-game, I have 100% completion, and have taken over all of Steelport." - Brocrates
solution: It seems that the only thing you can do is reload an older save and complete the last hood again, then check your stats.

My game crashes when I view custom outfits.
solution: You need to delete the problematic outfit. The easiest way to do this is to delete a piece of clothing that is part of the outfit.

= Questions =

How does the in-game chat work?
Pressing the chat key (default: T) will open the Steam Overlay, from where you can chat with your partner using the Steam friend chat feature.

Where are my save files?
<steam folder>\userdata\<user id>\55230\remote
SR3 relies solely on the Steam Cloud storage system for its saved games. The list of saves in-game won't change just because you change the save files, by the way. The list displayed in-game is probably stored in the savedir.sr3d_pc file. So you have to go by modified dates, to figure out what was your most recent save. sr3save_00.sr3s_pc is probably your autosave.

How do i turn off auto-aim / aim assist?
I do not experience this in my game, but i got details from someone who does, and this is something they said:
i turned the aim_assist.xtbl values to 0.0 and now it feels so much better (to me)

How do i change the field of view?
See the Release forum here on the site which has a few choices like Steve's Better Camera mod and Uzi's revised version, as well as Maxwell_Adams original FOV mod with shitface's updates to make it compatible with the latest patch.

How do i customize the controls with a gamepad?
The control_schemes.xtbl file is what defines the gamepad controls. There's no easy way to edit it at this time, but you can try doing it by hand. It has to be extracted from misc_tables.vpp_pc.

Where are my recorded videos saved?
It says right on the video recording setup screen.

Where's the video recording option?
It's on the main menu, but it's only available in the DX10/11 version, not the DX9 version.

What is the way the game is intended to be played?
According to The_Pie_Maker (Senior Audio Tester),
Thx a lot for your help. Now I'm able to enjoy this fantastic game with a huge boner while driving around.
Exactly the way the game was intended to be played.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I'm sure it will come in very handy for anyone having problems. Stickied.
