The Manapult sucks

But yet I can't shoot anyone out of the canon. It won't even shoot me out. All it does is suck in people. Is this a bug?

My Specs:
Windows 7 x64
Intel Core2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66GHz
8 GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 4096 MB Total available graphics memory
