Steam account bound

My steam account is bound to a THQ account for my saints row game for the character downloading and such, now that doesn't sound like a problem..but it is...I can't access this account. It says my username/account id is incorrect. Well..that's cool and all, but see..they aren't...when THQ still existed, (and their site still does) I can log into the account there, just fine..and view that I have Saints Row the Third and Darksiders 2 active on the account.

But In-game and on the saints row website, I cannot login using the username and password..well that's fine too, I thought, and reset the password, from the saints row website.

Well long story short, I get the password reset email, which takes me to the THQ site to reset my password, this doesn't fix the problem, as it seems THQ's website, doesn't share a username/password database with deepsilver..and the problem persists...

Any ideas guys?

Is it because of this issue?

Names or passwords with characters that SR3 doesn't allow
explanation: There seems to be trouble logging into the community servers in the game when your name or password contains punctuation.
solution: Change your password to something with only letters and numbers on the THQ site. If you're having trouble with this because of the name, maybe THQ customer support can help. I'm not sure.

I'm going to say, that isn't the problem. My account only has numbers and letters, and I can't sign into any page other than the forums page on the saints row site, and that's give and take...

Yeah that's what i meant..password. xD

But I haven't been able to log in since THQ died..I assume it's due to that account being through THQ, rather than the new host of the services...I was just wondering if anyone ele had these problems.

Alright, I sent a email to DeepSilver...hopefully they got full access to everything when they took over Saint's Row..

I was just able to create a new account at SaintsRow.com (never bothered to before) and was then able to link my In-Game account to the "THQ" Account online using the correct ID and Password.

I was then able to "Log Out of the Community" site and log back into it using the same information.

I tried doing a Password Reset request, however, it's been 10 minutes so far and the email hasn't arrived.
But if, like you're saying, the password reset is redirecting you to THQ and not Saintsrow.com, then yes, getting customer service to help you is your only recourse.

Once you're able to log into SaintsRow.com then you should be able to log into game no problem.

I never understood why some websites don't allow certain characters in passwords. It encourages forces people to use less secure passwords.

Then they have to spend all the extra resources to try and fix "security breeches" when anything under an 11-character password is easily hacked... heh.
