can i use a Saints Row: The Third savegame on Saints Row: The Third Remastered?

I've tried downloading other people's old SR3 saves and pasted them into the save directory with no luck. So, no. I'm actually hoping someone could provide a 100% for remastered some time soon.
i hope so because i dont wanna do everything again.
