Saints Row 2 X360 -> PC differences datamine

Yo guys. I was tinkering around with SR2 on X360 recently and noticed the compile date was September 1st 2008, so I figured it was worth comparing it to the PC build, seeing if there were any interesting diffs. I couldn't get an unpatched version of SR2 for PC so the 'latest' version will have to do.

There's a few differences, mostly in Lua files. The diffs for the files can be found here.

The diff tool code can be found here on Github. Yes, there probably already is a tool that does exactly this and better, but where's the fun in that?

Cheers!

EDIT: The tool behaves slightly differently when the directories are swapped; rather than fix it I've uploaded the diffs of this as well to here.

EDIT2: Also it's a pain in the ass to compile Gibbed's tools if you don't already have an env setup so I also uploaded the packer/unpacker binaries: http://slynch.ovh/Public/Gibbed.SaintsRow2.PackUnpack.zip

i believe the tools were made originally for console as well. but for red faction instead of saints row, however due to the similarities in engine they were cross compatible

That all makes sense. Rick Gibbed has made a lot of great modding tools for various games. He's a smart guy. I chatted with him once about wanting to use some Mafia II mods without requiring a cracked version of the game, and he whipped up this tool in a couple of hours. Worked perfectly with my legally purchased copy of Mafia II. I was very impressed! Really nice guy too. For anyone who's interested, check out his website here: http://gib.me/

Gibbed made a lot of tools for various games such as Far Cry 3, Dead Island, Saints Row series, Deus Ex series, Borderland series and Mass Effect series. Forgot to mention Red Faction series.
