Saints Row 2 wont start

Hey everyone!

After having spend lots in Steelport, I wanted to play Saints Row 2 again, but it wont start. You can hear the logo vids, but only half a second and it keeps repeating. When I skip it, you hear the Volition sound, but also the same, only half a second and repeating. When I skip that, it won't start to load.. I tried uninstalling the game completely, also deleting the map and any mod I had in it and reinstall it (Through steam, mind you.) but it didn't work. I have Windows 7 64 bit. I never had trouble with the game before.

Anyone know what I can do? Cos I really mis that game. ='(

I wrote up a FAQ on the SR2 Steam forum with every single known fix for crashing. My guess is that you're going to need the windowed 800x600 settings.dat file from the sound of your issue.

YES! I found out what was the problem. Powertools. Even though I deleted it.. It still needed it for some reason. I reinstalled it and it works fine now. Thanks for the help. Now to get the Gentlemen of Stillwater mod.
