Saints row 2 fix

So i downloaded saints row 2 to replay the story for fun and i kept running into the issue of it crashing on start up then i started to search up results for a fix then i came across GOTR i downloaded it ran the custom patcher then applied to the game still kept crashing but showed the GOTR logo when launching the game so i know it worked then i Redownloaded the game and decided to just run the vanilla patch instead on the GOTR patcher once that was finished i went on to run the game and it was in german how can i fix the game being in german im an english speaker and it just bugs me a lot i set the launch option on steam to forcelang_en it hasnt done anything for me pls can i get some help on this ASAP thanks
