I was wondering one thing about the Boss, is there a canon boss or is there a type of “chose your own character and be the canon character “? Are the lines the same for the characters? And would anything in the story change depending on the character I’m kind of getting into the series fully and I wanted a heads up.
 
There's no canon boss that's why SR games have character creators so you can create your own canon boss. The lines are the same because npcs don't call you "she" or "he", they usually use "they" or just "the boss".
 
And the game and characters don’t care if you randomly change your appearance mid-game. The only thing that comes close is the ‘did you do something with your hair’ running joke in Saints Row 2.
