Need Someone For Coop Mod (More than 2 Players)

Hello, I'm trying to patch Saints Row 2 to allow more than two players in Coop. I think I got further but the annoying thing is to actually test this mod I need someone to work with me a lot by joining. Other games I would patch I wouldn't have to do this of course. Like this mod I made for Star Wars KotOR 1:

Anyways, I have another friend who will join whenever I have another person to test the mod. Here is the mod on Mediafire:
I also uploaded the file here on this site so either-or works.

You also need the latest Juiced Patch from Kobraworks to use the mod too and that's it.

Hi, this seems like a nice idea, but it feels suspicious downloading a random .exe from the internet without knowing what exactly it does, what it will do when run, etc etc. If the code or patch you're making has open source it might give people more confidence to try it.
Is it a modification of the game's exe or something run serparately to patch out the game as it's running?
Thanks

Yes it's a modification of the game's exe, SR2_pc. Here is a patch that can be applied with x32DBG (or perhaps other debuggers too) instead so that it is more trustworthy. You apply it to a Juiced Patched Exe. Thank you for having patience with me and for the advice.

Much appreciated : D While I don't play SR2 these days, there's bound to be someone more willing since that file actually tells which addresses are changed (not that I can understand what it means, lol). Failing that you can always try setting up a VM (assuming there's enough RAM for both to run the game)
Take care of yourself!

Yeah hopefully some people join. The changes I made aren't too complicated I'm sure you could understand if I went over it all. Speaking of that virtual machine trick I already tried that and even using another laptop to join even a regular coop game and it didn't work. I tried joining on both ends and it didn't detect me joining. Have you had luck with this yourself before? Do you know what could be causing the coop to not work in this case? Maybe it's the IP addresses or some kind of networking thing I really don't know. I tried using Hamachi too on separate devices and that didn't work, kind of annoying.

I'm not sure, I've only seen Clippy95 using a VM to showcase CGallery & CHeight.
My best guess is that either your connections aren't going through the Hamachi thing (in Network & Sharing Center you can try bridging the internet connection with Hamachi's network adapter if it has one, maybe disabling other network adapters to make sure it has priority), your house sharing the same IP address for all devices thus you can't join it "over the internet" (in this case you can try using mobile hotspot? Not sure if this will work for p2p games), or the other multitude of network problems the game usually has.

Alright thank you for sharing this then. I should try to tinker with it more like the connections and stuff like that. It's probably detecting it as the same device in some way and/or I have to play strictly LAN too. But LAN wasn't working either, couldn't see any anything pop up for that at all. But I'll keep messing with that thank you. It's funny too but Clippy95 told me this Coop mod might be a waste and won't work with the check skips I'm doing but I just wanted to see anyways what progress I could make. The checks are similar to the multiplayer ones so they may work on that mode too. Clippy was saying it's probably more feasible to modify the multiplayer mode count instead and get the Saints Row 2 map to load in that mode. I'll probably stick to that if I make no more progress with this after a few tries.

Edit: With Radmin VPN, I was able to get it to work on a VM and the laptop too allowing possibly 3 players. Thus making this post kind of useless. Unless people find use out of my patch of course which it's pretty basic anyways. I have a good pipeline now to get this work by myself which helps a lot. Thank you for the advice Reina.
