Need help with GOTR

so i have done everything in IdolNinja's FAQ sheet i have the setting.dat i installed power tools i reinstalled the game i can get it to run without GOTR i put the game in window mode i set the compatibility to XP (i have Windows 10) but everytime i put the patches for GOTR in the folder replace the other ones i run the game it crashes before Powered by Gentlemen i dont know what else to do
 
Do you have any mods installed?
 
None at all just got the game on steam the other day and everything i read said i need GOTR super mod. Thats the only mod i downloaded
 
I have Windows 10 but don't have Powertools installed and no issues.

I know it solves the speed bug that is found in Windows 7 but I don't think there's a speedbug in Windows 10 as my game runs perfectly in Windows 10.

Yes it runs perfectly. The bad thing about SR2 is the FPS cap, I think it's 30 FPS. This goes for both the Steam version and the GOG version too.
 
What is your system specs?
