I think what happened was I started the first store hacking mission for Kinzie and was having trouble dealing with the cops afterwards, so I quit the mission to take off the heat because there was no golden CID to destroy. Got my Merica gun and the mission started completely over, but it gave me puzzle #2. When I got to the last store, it gave me puzzle #1 again, the straight line across. Nothing major, but a little glitch nevertheless.
 
I didn't want to create a separate thread, but I just had a similar glitch with a CID. A few minutes ago, I killed a CID at the same time as being killed. The next time a golden CID was spawned, only the golden underglow was visible. I was able to trap and kill it as normal however and for good measure I tested what would happen when the next golden CID spawned and it was visible and fine.
