I don´t know if this is common knowledge already but I just came to this realization.
Look at the contents of the lab equipment the SoS are using:
Aside from all of the various chemicals there are skulls, flesh and blood all over the drug labs and next to the equipment.
When Shaundi introduces Loa Dust to the Playa they´re confused as to why it is called a "Dust" if you smoke it, with Shaundi dismissing it as The Sons of Samedi beeing bad at marketing, but if crushed up human bones are used in the creation of the product... I think it makes more sense why they call it a "Dust."
Perhaps there is a connection here with the god Samedi, but my knowledge of Vodou (Voodoo?) is not very broad.
